DanceDanceRevolution (AC) (Japan)

Yeah, I took those songs as "DDR has come full circle," or something to that extent. The two original "boss songs" (as well as staples of DDR) remixed as new difficult boss songs, and 2ndMIX's credits music revived and rearranged with references to various things throughout DDR's lifespan in its video. Close out the series the way it began....that's what I got from those songs and how they were handled.

And maybe in the same respect, although most likely never going to happen, have all the AC content into one huge final CS game. At the very least we should have a CS port of X3 vs 2nd Mix, I know I'd be satisfied. Well at least we all can fall back on Step Mania, but it wouldn't be the same at all.

DDR II for Wii was the last console ver. of DDR. I don't think Konami would go out of their way to release a CS port of X3 vs 2nd MIX, in considering that rhythm games (in general) aren't popular on consoles.

I kinda noticed that the charts were getting harder as well. If not Surrender, then maybe KYOKA SUIGETSU-ROW (or however it's spelled) or Racing with Time from HP2 will be next.

Honestly, I still think they could benefit from more Ultramix/Universe songs. Way better than more "DDR II" ones, at this point.

I'd totally drop it on Still Unbreakable, at least.

(biased opinion, but there's a reason hinabita is popular)

This thread got suddenly depressing.

But, guys, you're missing a key thing. ITG was bought out in 2006 and nothing has happened with the series since. But guess what? There have been themes, song packs, even tournaments held years after that. These games always inevitably get left behind, but what keeps them alive is the community that made the game popular in the first place. A game can be kept alive even long after it is sadly no more, and ITG is proof of that. I don't see why that can't happen for a game that is - on face level - the same.

Well, there's no mistaking it now. コネクト and now DAM DARIRAM left because the DDR budget isn't enough to keep those licenses anymore. And I assure you, there's probably going to be much more of that coming within the next year.

To be fair you can't really install your own shit onto DDR games. No new themes/songs for us.

I'm disappointed.

I mean, they didn't even utilize having some pretty snazzy crossovers from Groovin', Lapistoria, Spada, Pendual, and Saucer. The total lack of attention towards this is frightening me. I hope that this isn't the end. I feel they have one last send off with them. They can't just simply cut ties after this horrible game.

Of course, last time we said this was when X dropped. Then Bemani decided to make X2 and everything was good again.
Maybe this will happen?
