brilliant r-e-d debuted on ultramix 3, a US game. a US exclusive game on top of that.
Yes, but not for PS2. Another examples: CHIKARA, in love wit you, SMM Specials
this isnt a ps2 game.

If we get the DDR S+ songpacks, we'll get songs that we've never been able to play in any form before, albeit with questionable steps.
The ones they brought back for the default songlist are pretty good choices. They got the 3 most popular Konami Original songs of all time in there, and padded it out with 2 more hard songs, to add quite a bit of depth to the high end of the songlist.

In any form aside from touch screen. >_>
And yes, the steps are pretty awful for most of the DDR S+ exclusives. I'm not sure why they delegate stepping to teams that are so bad at it. Just get the X2 guys on all this stuff, seriously. Especially now that EDIT MODE has died, it's more important than ever to give songs great steps.

I know. The point is that Brilliant RED or Himawari didn't stay in PS2. It's strange (for me) why each DDR (SUPERNOVA, SUPERNOVA 2 and DDR X) left 4 songs which USA doesn't have (in PS2)?

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!" |
and Dead End GRS...
OH SHI-
(banhammer)
I still just can't believe this damn game is available in my country... makes me almost wish I had bought a far more expensive ps3 than a lovely xbox. But I just didn't have $600 at the time. I mean it took me 2 weeks to get a 360 game for my 360. Till then I was playing that hexaggons game and old xbawks originals.
In any case, it does look like this game, while having a few flaws, is turning out to be quite the release. I think what will make or break it will be the inclusion of good DLC, which I'm sure we're all hoping for.
Also, for those wanting to get a hardpad that works with their ps3.... you can just track down another ps3 pad, perhaps from konami or whenever your current one crappers out. Then wire it to a homemade pad.

Pretty sure Tyma was talking about Afronova, Max 300 and Hanna Ramanan Flowers. Which does make sense; while not the most popular, they are pretty well known among DDR fans. But, as I and others pointed out, they're not exactly the top songs. I can't help but think including those will backfire for Konami; While often played, I'm not sure those three will serve much purpose except to make your typical Extreme fan annoyed that their particular favorites aren't in the list at all. With some staples of the franchise, it's better off this way (Dynamite Rave being the Ur-example) but with no sign of any Paranoia, Healing Vision or overplayed IIDX crossover the classic fanbase may take those 5 revivals as kindly as a slap in the face.
Not that the people who Konami are targeting with this game, that being newcomers, will care about those 5 songs. And better for it, I say! DanceMasters seems to have a far better cross section of DDR's music selection to influence people.

Well... We know Flowers is the most played song of the "modern" DDR era, because Konami have released bi-monthly charts of the most played songs.
I.. Assume, Max 300 and Afronova are probably the most played DDR songs of all time. They've been around forever, and for anybody who's seen DDR being played in an arcade, and has absolutely no clue whatsoever about the music, those are probably the 2 most iconic and recognisable songs.
Thingsl like Xepher aren't going to compare in terms of "most played", because they haven't been around long enough to see as much play as Max 300, and came long after the height of DDR's popularity in USA and Europe, when it was culturally significant, and heavily pirated.

That's a bit of an unrelated question, but I'll answer it in short: probably no theme will be created.

.
Everytime they've released the Top 30 most played songs in the arcade via e-Amusement since SuperNOVA, Max300 has been in the top 20.
