Licenses will only move so many copies.

Sales figures are moving up again for the third week

Week 1: 764
Week 2: 1,800
Week 3: 2,648

Hopefully this continues.
I also saw on Yahoo an article about the upcoming popular dance games and DDR II was included in the list for once.

"MAGGLE"
Yeah, and the other gaming websites (shills like IGN and whatnot) acknowledged the presence of DDR II on the Expos.

Thank you so much, Lord Toon!

I've been seeing copies of DDRII on the shelves over the last couple days whereas stores hadn't even bothered to have it in stock previously, so apparently demand is slowly building? I'm really hoping this trend keeps up, at any rate!

We should get the ball rolling again next week, provided Max comes back from the dead, and the website gets finished, so we can start promoting it, and have something to show.
Jeez, I really wish I had predictable free time and something adequate to record with, or else I'd be all over that! As is, it's....well, unpredictable. Sad

That's good to hear. Because it also means there's no artificial scarcity.

So I just got my Mario Mix pad shipped to me.

That thing feels thicker than the Wii mat unless my mind is playing tricks on me...

(Yay Double)

Was it new? I haven't seen the bundle in years (last time I did was at a Circuit City in 2006, 50 bucks Tongue), and I was thinking of just getting the game since I have a pad.

In other news, yay for steadily rising numbers! Word of mouth is paying off after all Big Grin

VG Chartz numbers mean absolutely nothing.

I was one of those guys who won a free DDR Mario Mix Bundle from EB Games for getting a higher score than the other guys who showed up. So the pad is old but wasn't used very much.

Okay... at first I thought maybe it was just from using a softpad, but today, in a lazy session of CCR with the Classic Controller; I noticed this recurring thing where sometimes hitting a jump would count as hitting an identical-including step afterwards*, and the jump would be considered missed. Mostly noticible on songs like Sakura Sunrise. Softpadding, that sort of thing can just happen; but CCR'ing? No effing way.

So is it just me who's experiencing that? Or perhaps has it been a prevalent issue among the whole HP series?

* Like in the combo Left+Up, Up; the controller jump hits the single "Up" and then whiffs the jump entirely...

Also, it doesn't diminish the enjoyment of the game/mix all that much; but maybe that's just because I'm not super-score elitist. Just wondering.

Wait, so there was a contest? Was it like a launch party type of thing or like just a local competition?
I just came to say hello.

Sounds to me like the engine is getting mixed up which arrow you are hitting.
Using that example combo of left+up followed by up, I'm thinking you could have pressed the up arrow a fraction of a second earlier than the left arrow (since it's technically impossible for someone to hit them at literally the exact same time) causing the engine to think you are going for the lone up arrow rather than the jump. That's my theory.

But is it just me? Has the Wii/HP series always done that? And you'd think at least being in the general region of timing, I could still technically hit both of them; that's how I pass the inverse of those steps, like what you see in ORION.78 -civilization mix-, Fascination -eternal love mix-, or Pluto Relinquish. (IE: the step-jumps)

Oh my god, that's quite a lot of axed songs (counting the four carryovers from DDR 2010).

What really is the reason for Konami to have to dummy out these songs.

I'm pretty sure that those were simply artifacts from using the DDR engine, not because the were planning on including those songs.

Not enough time to prepare them, not willing to spend the money to license them, etc.

That's too bad about WH1TE RO5E, I love that song. I hope they throw it into a future release because I want to get my WH1TE RO5E on at home.
