ZETA is a 13 until the ending, but still, not bad.
VANESSA is what I expected it to be. Karaoke-ish, but nothing severely wtf. I suppose I really have to play it to find out if 12th AFRONOVA steps at 185 is a good idea.

Mm, ZETA looks quite fine. I was wondering how they'd pull a 15 out of it, and I think they really pushed it as far as it would go without becoming stupid. I'm happy with that.

VANESSA turned out pretty much the only way it could, and that's a good thing. Wonder if the ending steps it up or just continues as it has?

As I don't see much in there that's 16 worthy at the moment, I kinda expect the 12th runs after the point where he failed to step up a gear in length. Even so, I'm glad to see a 16 I could realistically FC.

The step placement is where some of the real difficulty is. Those streams are not easy, massive crossover action going on. If they have a twisty, PARANOIA survivor MAX ending, then we have a solid 16.

EDIT: Well, at another look, it's not that bad in terms of crossovers, but definitely a 15 up until the end of that video. We'll see how the ending turns out.

Im a little dissapointed in Zeta but Vanessa is shaping up to be good, even though its exactly what we all expected.

i cant watch the video until i get off work, so i dont know what the chart looks like yet, however, 12th notes at 185 isnt that much worse than 8ths at 200 which is what afronova is. i dont think its that big of a deal.

It's basically 8ths at ~247, so it's no real biggie, now I think about it.

Just got back from the location test. Dazzlin Darlin was there. Some of the songs are in different order than the Japanese version. The others that were mentioned were missing as well. Also AAAing KissKissKiss doesn't unlock the remix in this build. I couldnt manage to get AAAs on the other potential remix songs.

After playing 470 games in Japan then playing on this I have to say the timing was pretty bad. It seemed better for pre-X2 songs but from what I could tell it started out perfect then the timing slowly shifted (I think in the slow direction, I'll have to pay a few more games to be sure though.) so if you rely heavily on the music to play it is hard to AAA songs. Some of the other guys there seemed to thin the same. For example in Japan Beginner Dazzlin Darlin I average 2-3 perfects with a high score of 1perfect. Playing here I had like 24 perfects and like 3-5 greats, it was embarrassing. Then When I played more by site and less by music and feel I scored higher.

Also the pad is sturdy but feels very hollow compared to a Japanese pad.

I'm planning on going a little earlier tomorrow to test it out a little more also.

Others have reported that the sync gets off as the game goes on as well, and if they're using an old version of the game to test it, then they may have ironed it out already for the final release.

IIRC, the Konami rep at the BMS test said that he thought a software error was causing the sync to drift on a lot of songs and that they were working on fixing it.

Stupid question, but are the e-amuse unlocks or unlockable courses/songs (like Boss Rush X2) on the machine at the location test in NJ?

Also... hi. c:

When's the target date of Konami to release X2 in the US/UK? So that they could release the unlock codes already!!! I can't help but feel bad knowing that the DDR X2 that I play has all of those awesome songs inside it yet they're still too far out of reach.... Grrrrr.......Evil

I'm going to play now and get some HD videos of those new songs. I'll upload when I get back within 5 hours.

"PLACE YOUR BET!!"
Yeah, I just got back from the East Hanover location test. Pads are amazing, beta songlist. Only problem was, location test build, no unlocks, and the steps drifted WAY off sync because either they didnt get the BPM synced correctly, or because of the new wide-screen. Konami better fix this ><

EDIT - Damn, late again ><

Is there any news on what if anything you get if you were ranked in a course? In DDR X if you got top 20 or 30 you get some special medal for the IR course. I finished 4th in one of them and wondering if I'll get anything.

I went to download Aftershock to put in my X2 (AC) folder, you know, for organizational purposes, and it was missing its Double charts. Does anyone happen to have the Double charts?

I've had them this whole time, and have such uploaded them to the simfile listing, I also fixed the pause with the freeze arrow that somehow got fucked up the first time.
