But it's been like that with every CS DDR. Isn't timing on CS always lenient?

yes, but the difference between timing windows and the grading scale is about as big as the difference between your intelligence and the intelligence of everyone else in the conversation.

TIMING IS NOT THE SAME AS GRADING SCALE. this means the size of the perfect window in no way reflects how many greats make up a AAA or AA.

EM2 being a case in point - 88% AA grade cutoff with fairly tight Perfect window Tongue

One of the animations is a girl with, as they described, " a half-zipped jumpsuit with exposed cleavage".
It popped up during Club mode, forget what song it was.

We are Fami-Lee.

It was a joke in an episode of Married with Children, when Peggy was reading Fall TV preview issue of TV Guide.
Will not change sig till pop'n 17, IIDX 17, and GF/DM XG get CS versions.

Does anyone know when the DLC will be released? Hopefully by the end of the year, maybe this month if we're lucky. Here's hoping for some Replicant-D ActionBig Grin

I doubt we'll see X2 AC originals any soon. Most likely they will start with S+ content.
PS: I really dig your Alot avatar.

I probably should've used a quote on that earlier post, but the only post I was directly commenting on was directly above mine; if you only play on CS, and one day try the same song on an arcade, there will be a difference in score your as the post above mine implied. Either through grades, timing or just the difference in pads. But hell, changes are to be expected. When I played on Supernova 2 after a 4 year dry spell, I wasn't even sure that the songs I'd played on Extreme would have the same charts. A friend of mine who watched me didn't even realise the steps were different for each song until I'd played 3 or so games. Someone who learns DDR through the PS3 and then tries it out on the arcade will notice differences very quickly; they won't suddenly tweak when they see a lower score than what they're used to.

On the other hand, I have the feeling that if bonus points were turned off, an AAA could only be achieved by earning 100% of the score. People with PS3 DDR; is there any way to turn bonus scoring off? That would be helpful in determining the true grades.

Anyone who hasn't played AC before notices differences immediately when they try to play on any SuperNOVA2 out here in Los Angeles. The timing window and life difficulty are ridiculous at Round1 and Arcade Infinity. I have my StepMania (SSC) set to 6 for both but I still feel like that's too lenient compared to those arcade cabinets.

This made me laugh, have you ever played the machine at Golf 'n Stuff in Oxnard? In 2008 that was a new SuperNOVA 2 cabinet and all I remember was that the life bar was not your friend. At least the pads were.

I remember the Busch Gardens DDR Extreme machines around here had the difficulty jacked so high where even on the first stage you played might as well have had the Oni battery for the life bar. It didn't help that the pads were horrendous either.

the one oni made about how loose GRADING SCALES at home will confuse people who get what would be a AAA at home on an arcade machine and dont AAA? that post wasnt about timing windows either.

About how scores will be different. Of course the scales are going to change version-to-version; noobs expect (and fear) change.

Someone noted ages ago that if you tap the left analogue stick on the dualkshock of Move controller, that you do actually activate Star Power.

Nothing has been mentioned about this since. I can't tell if they were joking or not.

quick question, comparing the song lists in the database it appears that the wii version has 4 songs this one doesnt (not counting the lesson songs or HP megamixes). is the database incomplete/hasn't been updated or does the wii version indeed have songs this one doesn't?

it makes sense if it does, its probably just konami trying to sell the wii version since this one will (supposedly) have DLC. i'm just wondering if free and those others have been spotted on PS3.

The Wii version is the canon game.

The PS3 version is a port, which uses the same RAW assets, but doesn't have the "Lesson by" or "Hottest Party" revivals, and replaces them with old KO revivals. I have no idea what the other 4 missing songs are?

Well, musically, you are right, but the ps3 edition features different things that, like octomove, it's not like it is based on the wii version.
