How about the old songs (From 1st Mix until X3) ? Are those still can be played as Default song ?

Someone said this is the last DDR title because only with this DDR, the songlist will be added everymonth, every year so

Konami will not make any new DDR ARC again.

Since when this is the case? DDR always includes (almost) all the old songs each mix. DDRMAX is the sole exception though.

Also, if you actually READ the thread, people reported that LOVE IS THE POWER -Re:born- doesn't have its video. Which, if you do have common sense, should mean that LOVE IS THE POWER -Re:born- is actually playable, and thus indicate that the old songs are playable


well it seems so. Last DDR title, new songs and themes will be deployed once a semester. Why would they make another AC then? This way it is cheaper for the arcade operator, they don't have to buy machines/upgrade kits every year. They just need to be subscribed to e-Amuse. KONAMI makes profit from the profit sharing scheme.

If it meant this mix would make it to stateside with some sort of different method of acquiring new songs without having to spend five-figures on new cabs every mix... I'd be all in for this idea.

Yeah... It will not require you to spend five-grand every new mix... Rather, Konami wants arcades to subscribe to e-Amusement, pay its monthly fee, and also pay a certain amount from every game played (IIRC, even games that's played under Free Play setting). Trying to get it without e-Amusement? Don't bother. The machines will NOT even boot.

I know the location test happened and all, but where there any reports about any of the songs, and how they sound?
Are we also looking at a console release or is it to dead here overseas and didn't make enough $$$ to have anymore DDR console games?

No one knows yet, or at least no one has said much.

The only thing Konami of Japan said recently on the matter is that the only consoles they can realistically release (profitable) Bemani games on (circa early 2012) are the PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Apple IOS and Nintendo Wii.

The PR derpartment handling USA/Euro PS3 and Xbox 360 releases recently mentioned that it was unprofitable to release on those systems, and nobody will make a 2012 release in time, but a 2013 Wii or Wii-U release is entirely possible.

Unless there's weird development licenses that have to be gotten for the primary systems, what makes them different from all of the above? Why not use the same DLC-heavy model there too? It's not because those consoles are not selling enough...

How about the songs? anyword on any of them and how they sound? or did we just not get that information yet and will come in due time?

We know of a few songs (10, to be exact). Nothing on how they sound (Ah La La La / Tommie Sunshine was on Soundcloud but is now unavailable IIRC) but they mark the debut of S-C-U and REDALiCE in DDR.

I have personally heard all the songs from the location test and know how they sound.

* Ah La La La - this is a really funny club house track. the title is often repeated by an airy female vocalist.
* Another Phase - actually pretty generic TAG trance, just listen to Diamond Dust and Theory of Eternity over and over and you get the gist
* Back In Your Arms - I guess it's like dreaming can make a wish come true part 2
* Beautiful Dream - It's J-Core. It's REDALiCE. Just go listen to his IIDX songs, it's pretty much the same.
* Blew My Mind - I don't have many words to describe it, it's really all over the place kind of like CONCEPTUAL or New Decade (and there's some drumstep, even)
* Everything I Need - slow pop obviously produced by TAG. it has a lot of swing to it, in fact the "50-100 bpm" is actually bouncing back and forth between the two each "beat", the real bpm is something like 80
* find the way - it's another techno-pop tune like Private Eye/Tell Me What To Do but without cerol's vocals
* heron - it's like robin but with those digital sounds(?) of concon and more complex rhythms in the synthesizers (yellow head joe comes to mind). needless to say pretty hot if you like S-C-U.
* nightbird lost wing - surprisingly it's more like squall with some end of the world thrown in, but there are some homages to Far east
* Sucka luva - honestly if you're reading this far then I didn't hear any of the songs. I made it all up.

None of us are going to know. None of us were at the location test. (Except Tetradact but he didn't actually play it)
