Actually, I'm pretty sure it's intentional, because why would they put it as the high score in SN?
And go-na-mi actually does somehow relate to 5,7,and 3 in Japanese. (According to my dad who speaks Japanese)

Unfortunately, sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet. Therefore, mine wasn't smelled very well.
Yes, 573 in Japanese sounds like Go-Na-Mi (sorry if my spelling is off). That's why it's the famous "konami number".

On DDR EXTREME machines, a bug on oni mode could allow players to access oni charts for certain songs that were not otherwise playable. One of these charts, the one for DAM DARIRAM, was actually the expert stepchart for CAPTAIN JACK's "GIVE IT UP" that was cut from the game before release.
Also, DIVE ~INTO YOUR HEART~ is a great song and is one of the most unfairly criticized songs in BEMANI.

^ I so agree with you on Dive. And I never knew that Dam's Oni chart was originally from a song that never came out.

I'm kinda curious how many more people are going to post the thing about Dam Dariram oni. This is like the 5th time its popped up.
Also how is DITYH unfairly criticized? Its your typical Paula Terry song where she sleeps with the guy and then gets sad that he left, set to the music of Dive MDADS. Its not that great.

I've never even heard of it being criticized before o.O
It's just Dive being transplanted to IIDX, but with better vocals. Dive is pretty good anyway?

With better vocals, and lyrics that deviate from the original.

LOL are we talking about the same song here? The one that begins...
"Dive.......... DAIIIIIYAIIIYAIIIYAIIIYAIIIIYAIIIIIIIVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
I think she may have demolished the recording studio with that one.

I honestly don't know who or what to believe. That she broke the song, or that the song was just not given the benefit of the doubt.
I'm willing to go with the former, since that's what I said earlier (I don't change opinions too soon).

I think the niconico link is on a few pages back, if you're curious. It plays the steps to an estimated cut of give it Up.

Was a similar thing happening with Love <3 Shine's Challenge chart? I like that chart, but it honestly doesn't go with the music too well.

I can't remember all the other hidden charts they found, what were they? I do remember that the trick worked in reverse. Giving Challenge-only songs Heavy charts, like DROP OUT (FROM NONSTOP MEGAMIX).

I can remember Love <3 Shine, Dam Dariram, and maybe Last Message. Holic "has a Challenge chart", but it's just blank (as opposed to a chart that really doesn't exist and crashes the machine). I think a few other songs do, too.
I didn't know some of the Challenge remixes had hidden Heavy charts, though. That's new to me!

I heard higher (next morning mix) had a heavy chart which was all right arrows in 4th beat. I had it on one of the max 2 bumber packs from DDRUK. When ddr_ray hex edited DDR X2 PS2 to enable the selection of unavailable difficulties for some songs, he remarked that My Summer Love Max2 remix has no more
chart. Though, I have yet to see the chart, tbh.

Oh, I also remember BLUE IMPULSE had a Doubles chart that was one single arrow at the very end of the song. Everybody was getting a full Marvelous combo! :O

The "hidden" charts for Challenge-only songs are actually there to control the lights at the top of the cabinet.
When you play a song, the game reads the lowest-difficulty stepchart availible for the song, and flashes certain lights on and off according to those steps. Those songs have to have a set of dummy steps that go to the beat of the song, or the lights would just be frantically flashing on and off, in time to the steps of Drop Out.

I tried going through all these pages and I am too lazy to quote, but as far as the character things mentioned a while back, I wanna know where the fudge anyone ever said Yuni and Akira are secret agents and where Baby-Lon is anyone's son besides Maho (and I forget where I even heard the Maho thing from).
More importantly, someone has probably pointed out the recycled vocals in stealth and smooooch by now. In relation to that, hopefully these all tie into "interesting things" from DDR that haven't been mentioned yet... ^^;
The girl vocals in Drop the Bomb can be heard in Rise's world in Persona 4 (like thirty seconds in). I still don't know what the second phrase is. xP
And the "more and more" thing from Dazzlin' Darlin is in like several similar songs including a lower pitched one that my sister has but I can't effing find it. This is the oldest example I came across.
Where are composers finding these clips, I wonder...
