(Sorry if this isn't the best place to ask; I wanted to post in an existing thread.)

1. Which characters aren't allowed (or shouldn't be) in a simfile name?

2. Is there a maximum character limit for simfile names?

3. Do the above apply to artist names?

4. What happens if you try to upload two simfiles of the same name to the same category?

1. Any characters which would be invalid in a normal filename are not allowed.
2. 192 characters.
3. 128 characters.
4. They will share the same files I think. There's no check in place for it at the moment.

The speed in which the messages appear will depend on the MySQL server performance, which has been a little up and down recently.

Awhile back I accidentally uploaded a simfile twice, when my connection was fuzzy and I reloaded to see if it had locked up. I got two separate simfiles out of the deal, just differentiated by the simfile #. I didn't check the URLs of the individual files, but yeah the second one probably overwrote the first one's files.

Update: The front page news main banner will now fade in and out every 7.5 seconds. Updated yesterday.

Updates:

Some icons sized down to 18x18 to 15x15 to fit with inline text.
Chat room scroll bug is fixed. And some chat room icons changed.
Some theme bordering changed.
Hovering over any table row will highlight it.

I knew I wasn't seeing things!

Some more updates to the chat room:

1. [!] will be appended to the front of the window/tab title when there's a new message and you're not currently active in that window.

2. You will be automatically be signed off the chat if you are inactive for half an hour. So if you don't at least focus on the window at
least once in half an hour, new messages will cease to be delivered to that window. Now people don't have to worry not being able to sign on if people have left the chat window open elsewhere.

Bump:

An exploit was fixed when rating users, you now have to confirm each rating from now on.

I gave the rating things a test. Good job, Al! Now I won't mess up with the ratings for good.

Added Previous and Next buttons to the front page highlight banner. Just in case people missed one or want to skip forward.

I would like to stop and say that I really like the direction the site is going in, Al. Props.

So now I can stare at Ameto all day marvel at the Empress banner for as long as I want. Thanks Al.

Added a slight shadow effect for most headers for any browsers that support the CSS3 text-shadow. Now it's easier to see the text if it's up against a bright background.

I agree. Most definatly like the new shadow effect on some of the text. Keep up the good work.

Minor updates:

1. Hovering over table rows no longer makes it grey.
2. Slight layout change to mini profiles. Online status changed to an icon and social/gaming icons take up two columns.
3. Browser icon changed.
