Wow wow wow... look at New York Evolved...
Hope I'm not the only one who think those step effects ruined the screen, and we can't read the chart clearly...

Next few months? This has been my experience for the last five years! When I started playing DDR in 2002 I knew a good amount of people who played Doubles as well as they did Singles, and it encouraged me to learn both play styles at the same time. Now I know only a couple who are kind of okay. And mods to turn off the Freeze arrows cause that's just too hard.

I feel ya brother, there are fewer and fewer of us every time you blink.

From what I gather (from here and the Wii thread) the licenses are meh, the KOs are good, and the engines are what's killing this release cycle. I'd like to see the new stuff running in 3.95 with sillybear's X2 theme to really know how good they are. There should be a contest to write Doubles Charts for these songs.

Everybody at the arcade I go to knows I play doubles so it's not a surprise anymore.

What would be fun is if it was a double or nothing rule. You make all the arrows on the chain and you get twice their points and a bonus (and a pretty toasty *ooo*) but if you miss any all of the arrows that are part of the chain count as a miss and you take the score/lifebar hit accordingly.

I think they shouldn't alter the score at all.

I think they shouldn't be in the game, or at least optional. Especially on harder songs, it's like a guaranteed combo breaker; you either purposefully miss the first to avoid Flat arrows for a while, or you accept the Flat and blow combo because you can't see. >_>

Cute idea, I guess, but should absolutely not be a mandatory part of gameplay.

I bet it would have been deleted or something.

I think it may be the same as X/X2 before the bonuses. You still earn a million points for a perfect full combo, but then they add bonuses for the chain arrows and that double-time thing.
