Loving what they did with the stages, it really fits ZETA and it's a good compromise for VANESSA. I'm hoping this is just one generic Boss Rush stage they're on, the blue doesn't really fit for VANESSA...they could've just extracted the background hallway/room they used for the Extra Stage song select in IIDX GOLD.

Hahaha, having watched the Difficult chart looks like Vanessa Expert is gonna be filled with 12th runs.
Probably gonna be a very fun chart

Those steps are HOT. I love being excited for BEMANI crossovers again! I also can't wait to see what ZETA and VANESSA look like on Heavy. I really love VANESSA's steps right now because the mixtures of jumps and twelfth gallops seem like hella fun to play and it can only mean that the heavy chart is gonna be filled with twelfth runs like e-s-g said.

ZETA looks great and they did a great job on the weird time signature sections. I wonder what the slowdown is gonna look like on Heavy...

*is excited*

This is what I think..

ZETA -> 85-170.
VANESSA -> 185.

It's from the BPM of the song..

EDIT: Just seen the post.. http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/8347699.Dance_revolution_hits_Adventure_Island/

Nor was I expecting another Zektbach song (and a boss chart at that)

interestingly enough, it didnt get one. looks like you expected half right.

15s arent boss songs people. BOSS SONGS are boss songs.

sakura, a 10, wasnt a boss on extreme. candy heavy, kakumei oni, and DDR oni were boss charts, and they're 8s and 9s.

i fail to see how "10 = boss" came to be, because thats just never been the trend. ever.

...it's in X2 Boss Rush, isn't it?

others beat me to my own defense, but the boss rushes from SN1 didnt contain just boss songs. matter of fact, boss rush episode III didnt have ANY boss songs in it. and even then, it almost seems too me like these boss rush courses are the new demon road/onido courses we got for a while. just like 7th mix was the first game with demon road courses, SN was the first game with boss rush courses. both games featured more than one of said course (7th had demon road and demon road 2 while SN1 had boss rush episode I - IV). extreme included more demon road courses. slow demon road, true demon road, 2MB's demon road, TAQ's demon road, and legend road. Extreme US, Festival, and probably DS Fusion, included "onido" courses as well, with banners done in the same style as the original demon road course, but with "onido" romanized (not translated). SN2 included boss rush ver. SN2, and i might be contradicting myself but having road in the title i consider legend road a demon road course, but not barrier as a boss rush. IMO considering barrier as a boss rush is like considering paranoia bros. extreme a demon road. anyway, continuing the trend, X had boss rush X, and X2 has boss rush X2.

these arent necessarily all boss songs, but just a name for a course, and since SN1 already gave us easier boss rush courses like 7th mix included easier demon road courses, now they can punish us with retarded hard boss rush courses like they did with retarded hard demon road courses in extreme.

Did some music recording just now, using my phone!
(Because the Lineout failed badly using MD; hissssssssssing sound were heard >_<)

(1) 不帅之歌(DDR VERSION)‏.mp3
Recorded in front of the screen (top)

(2) 虹色.mp3
Recorded NEAR the left speaker (top)

Download links will expire on 2010090200 Lol~

I think the first recording (1) is better than the second recording (2)
What's your opinion?

I'd redo the recording for 虹色 if the first recording (1) is acceptable Big Grin

Anyways, the other 2 video is up Exclaimation Sign

And that's irrelevant anyway. I was remarking that it got a decently hard chart. I really don't care about who considers what to be a boss chart. Everyone has their own opinion about that.

Thanks for the videos, ddr_ray!

If I recall correctly, DM Ashura wrote the steps to aftershock!! and they haven't changed them. Tongue
And good steps for Leaving... starts out with a punch, but settles down to become a solid 11. Middle is a little boring, but I don't mind, it still looks fun.

Seems like you get cards with 6 different kinds of marks on them after clearing a credit and you complete "panels" to unlock "items". Sounds like a pop'n-like way of unlocking stuff! Can't wait to see what they have in store.

LoL @ Local News "music from China" ;).

Its good to see promotion for DDR in the UK even if it is just local. I just hope arcades will be encouraged to buy pad upgrades as well as DDRX2 software.
I assume the Southend test is just a software upgrade.

This might be a stupid question but regarding this video is this an arcade setting thats given 8 lives for the course?

but max300 was red in ultramix, which had no extra stage system. the extreme 2 engine also had no extra stage system, and we saw PS, PSM, G2, and max300 super-max-me mix in red there. in festival, there was an extra stage system but maximizer was the ES. sakura and outerlimits were red, in extreme US memories was red but TMS was the "fake" ES and after it was passed with an A, LOM became the ES.. extreme AC had PS, PSM, and TMS in red but LOM and DDR were ES/OMES, with max.(period) becoming the default ES after unlock on the CS version. on 1st mix, no songs show up in red but there is still an ES system (finish with max dance gauge i believe, its been a while since i played my copy since its kinda obsolete).

so no, red =! ES/OMES. again, there has never been any indication that red was anything but the boss songs for that mix, and 10s/15+s are just hard songs.
