So I take it it's confirmed that there are no interchangeable themes anymore? I was rather looking forward to that feature from E3 2009.

So, this DDR looks so oriented for the US market. Just check the licenses and new features; but it doesn't look bad at all (eg. New York Evolved and Let's get away) I wanted that this next DDR releases follow the same direction of DDR X2, too. Let's wait for the DLC songs.

Hmm. I dont think I like it.
Im pretty sure Ive decided I am gonna pass on this game. There are a couple good songs, but overall the charts I have seen are pretty bad. It feels more like a cheap DDR knock off than a real Konami made DDR game.

i agree with cali_surfer at 100%.. this is not a real konami game.. i'll wait for the jap version, everyone know ddrs for american and europe are worse than the jap one

The old look of this game was beyond terrible. What we have now is much improved.

Greaf, that's the DDR Xbox 360 beta trailer shown at E3 2009.

L.A. EVOLVED exists in DDR Universe 3. It's basically tokyo EVOLVED, except there's only one version of it.

And yes, agreed that the DDR feeling is gone, etc., more than ever I hope KONAMI actually reads these forums.

I don't know if anyone else has tried out the Dance & Move mode yet, but I find it really challenging. I don't think I'll play it too much though. Its hard to coordinate moving the Move controller on the screen and your feet.

I'd really compare these games to the Hottest Party games. There isn't much to do on them after you've finished the one player mode, which is essentially the club mode in this. I don't know why they can't just make a port of X2 on consoles though. The main aesthetic this game is missing is all of the DDR characters we have all come to know and love used in the interface/etc.

And the response there is mostly one idiot just rambling on and on about how EXTREME was the best game ever.
I know I wouldn't read that tripe if I was on the actual team.

It feels like the people who read community forums aren't the people who have much influence over anything, really. But right here is probably the best medium for discourse.

I've noticed that people who go out of there way to say that EXTREME was and is the best DDR ever seemed to only get into the game around when it came out, and stopped playing after it came out. You ask them something about Supernova or X and they really haven't played them.

I started with Extreme (actually, I think the first cabinet I played was Max 2 but I was making fun of the game more than trying to play it), but I went back and forward with the series. My favorite game was SN2 until X2.

2 is harder and darker sounding, but I like 3 the most song wise.
