Sota being Neuras was speculation because On the bounce sounds like his style. I'm not so sure that sonic-coll being that artist on myspace was confirmed either.
Yup, you're right about Tatsh's reasons for leaving.

No one knows why songs are removed. They could have been asked by the artists to remove them; this may be the case with BeForU, although they kept CHIKARA. At the end of the day though, removals happen for reasons we don't know; same way songs get removed from beatmaniaIIDX machines for unknown reasons.
While I doubt Sota is neuras, we know neuras is a KONAMI in-house artist.
Same goes for sonic-coll., which rules out the MySpace person.
These two were absent from the list of commission artists on X, and they're not on the license list, so, historically, that places them in-house (as always, there's a chance of things changing).
To be honest, I say sonic-coll. is definitely NAOKI. Flourish sounds like will and Moving On, and NAOKI has recently been doing a lot of work with frances maya.

There's also zero good-cool (Last Message and Spin the Disc) and zero Keiichi Ueno (Dr. Love, Mr.T (take me higher)).
Your Rain and You're Not Here were removed, and incidentally, a lot of Akira's songs on IIDX get removed.
Oh well, Konami would be stupid to transplant an entire list of 300 songs and add 50 to it every release. SuperNOVA would be obsolete.

Viewing this thread: MrTM2, SuperNOVA2 and Conquer85.
What do ya know! RoyBoyCF said something about the cut songs and SuperNOVA2 showed up!

Because it's from Ultramix. My guess for some of the removals was so that they don't have to make a new folder when sorting in the DDRX arcade.
But even that wouldn't make sense as they would be thrown in the SuperNova folder.
Like Arctic Wolves said, no one knows why songs are removed.

It doesn't count as ULTRAMIX when it comes to the AC releases.
To Japan, Brilliant R.E.D. debuted on SuperNOVA, therefore was in the SuperNOVA folder in DDR SuperNOVA2.

Don't worry, Japan is always coming up with creative new ways to ignore the existence of Ultramix/Universe.
I wish they didn't though; we need some of that DM Ashura, kors k, and Ryu☆ over on these here arcade machines (though oarfish most definitely requires a new chart).

SuperNOVA AC is obselete, SuperNOVA 2 AC had practically everything it did and more. It's rather smart to make old versions obselete because it gives the arcade owners a good reason to upgrade.
For most of the removed-unnecessarily popular songs, I would guess that Konami got rid of them to give players a reason to buy the home versions. Now if you wanna play Mondo Street ever again, you'll need to buy SuperNOVA 2 or Ultramix 4.

Mondo Street was probably removed because of Orange Lounge. Their songs are getting the axe in all the other Bemani games too.

SuperNOVA AC is obsolete
Wrong...the removed Club Songs in SN2 are they only things keeping it from being obsolete.

I guess, but an arcade owners probably not going to buy SN over SN2 or X just because of those. I should say it's practically obselete.

I would rather go after an Extreme cabinet for the club songs and go for a SuperNova2 cabinet for the new stuff.

Thankfully our Gameworks here has an Extreme machine and a SN2 machine......more than likely they will upgrade the SN2 machine to X when the upgrade kits come out >_>

But if you get an Extreme AC, you're supposed to provide players with LSD so that they can enjoy the background videos.Post #4079 · Posted at 2009-03-11 02:42:27am 16.7 years ago

Solo 2000, 4th Plus, 5th, MAX2 and Extreme and SuperNOVA 2 all have a significant number of songs not found on future versions, as well as X, which of course is the most recent version. In a way, everything was a "series" up until 5th, then Max and Max 2 were their own, and now Extreme through X.
Extreme and SN2 are on the above list because of the licenses cut on SN and the large KO removal on X.
