"Thanks for all your support."
I just made the Let's Get Away simfile with average quality line-out from youtube. Anyway, i just noticed here, so jumps now count as 2 combos. What are those flat-like arrows inside circles shown in LGA song in youtube?
Sillybear has already resigned from z-i-v... Sad

A jun boss song, and an evolved boss song.
DDR X3 EXTRA and ENCORE EXTRA STAGE?

Looking forward to seeing steps, I actually like the previews of some of these songs and the steps so far haven't been terrible. Haven't seen anything amazing, but maybe...

I think I speak for everyone although none of you will admit it when I say, DDR will never be as good as it used to be.

You should play DDR X2.

Oh I knew someone would say that. DDR X2 is good for what it is; the next evolution of DDR. But it still doesn't have the feeling that pre-EXTREME machines have.

They're "chain arrows" and shouldn't be treated differently than any other step. You just get more points if you hit all of them without missing one.

Hey everyone, I picked this version up today as well. I've been playing DDR since 2000, not as much in the past years, and usually pick up the home versions when they come out. So far, I'm liking this one quite a bit. As some have mentioned (and disagreed!), I am really digging the new interface elements, though the circles could be toned down a bit and the silhouette people a little more consistently placed in the modes to give a more uniform feel. The framerate and resolution make this wonderful to look at now, in my opinion. The "background videos" give the game a DDRMAX feel, sort of, and the gameplay changes (e.g. Bootleg Star Power) are a nice mix-up to basically what's been the standard formula for a while now. I was worried that the game was going to lose a lot of character when they switched from the older build (E3 '09?) to this black and red one, but I think it turned out well. The announcer is fine, and I like the little touches in place, like the crowd's disappoinment when you break a combo and the various effects that dynamically occur depending on what you do.

Club Mode is interesting, in a way to put it. I've only cleared about 40 songs so far, so I'm not really clear on what all these meters filling up are for. I'm sure as you unlock more songs, the "clubs" will have more to play, but right now it's a little weird having to play the same licenses again and again.

For what it's worth, I think this is a good entry title for the system. Maybe this is basically a "reboot" for the console versions and they'll put a little more polish (and mysteriously missing modes) on the overall product.

Oh, and what I'd do for a dynamic theme for the XMB that looks like the Club Mode main hub. I miss my Bonnie, but those silhouettes are pretty slick!

I really don't know what this feeling is. All that time, I was excited and grateful for each and every DDR game, but what I really dreamed of was being able to freestyle to modern J-pop or Super Eurobeat songs, and play fast songs that got my blood pumping, without instantly tiring myself out, or sounding absolutely terrible.

DDR was fun back then, because of the community. I had so many awesome times playing DDR, and having times like that again now simply isn't possible... However, if we had DDR X2 back in 2002, it would have blown our minds. If DDR Extreme had DDR X2's songlist, then the whole DDR experience would have been much, much better.

I'm very happy with how this game performs. No skippy arrows or lag it seems. It seems like they put the effort into making the game run smoothly at least.

I think the best new feature is the video capturing. The game really needs some of the missing modes that we've come to expect though.

Hi im new to the site but have been a huge ddr fan for years. Just got the ps3 version and while its fun I must admit I miss my Jpop! Anyway I was wondering if anyone else had attempted to use the ps3 pad on PC. Everything works except for the fact that it won't register right and left double steps as well as up and down; up/left, up/right etc still works its just the Up/down and right/left that won't register. Any tips would be appreciated

Oh yes the game looks and runs with such beauty and grace. About time there's an HD-DDR that runs this smooth (gives a nasty glare at the Universe games). Just please god let there be 150+ DLC!
Will not change sig till pop'n 17, IIDX 17, and GF/DM XG get CS versions.

Probably a USB driver issue? If you think about it as being a joypad, you can't press up and down at the same time. In order to do that, Windows needs to think of up and down as being buttons, not as being a joystick.

Wow thanks for the quick reply, ya thats what i thought as well, it registers and installs it as ps3 ddr pad, and ive tried removing and uninstalling the driver through device manager, but am not sure what kind of driver would fix this issue

I just finished going through the credits and I see song credits for Sweet Sweet <3 Magic, MAX 300, TSUGARU (APPLE MIX), and AFRONOVA

So yes thank God the chance of the classics as DLC is pretty high, I hope.

It's the same as DDR X2, except for Goods not breaking your combo.

Hm and despite them being displayed right above the stepzone, having each column flash the judgment color was easy enough for me to decipher.
