"Rainbows in the Sky"
Quote: Fairy Red
Ooh dear, I didn't mean that too many songs means a bad buy. D8 I meant that it's a little overwhelming, and sometimes I forget what's new and what's not new. 80 songs is great, but like I said, I found it a bit overwhelming.

I'm slowly getting used to the videos of the X2 songs. smooooch is very cute, and I even made up a routine to go with it. ._.; And on routines, so far I think only HEARTBREAK has a definite "routine", at least a routine that doesn't change every time the song is selected. I still need to research this. D8

to be clear, all songs in this game (barring the megamixes) are new songs, new being they haven't been in a US CS release before. For most people (me included), this also means a chance to play X2 songs as well as preview what's going to be in X3 soon. Overwhelming seems like a nice term to use, since there are only about thirty so songs unlocked from the beginning; I can see a lot of people not getting to the uber hard songs (on account of not even getting to the RDA folder, since IIRC you need to play a few of expert songs to do, not something the casual DDR 2010 group could perform). Heck, i just read a gamezone review giving this a 5.5 because it's "the same old and marketed towards the western crowd". lolwut. But 80 songs for 30/50 bucks? that's a pretty good deal, even with the pad.

As for the Hp5 rating, I think konami's trying to get an edgier audience. XD
Some bloke at the game shop: "this game is 16+? mom, let's buy it!"
I just came to say hello.

How big were the differences in UI between HP4 and DDR 2010, if any?

And OT: I'm pretty sure I just saw a "The Real Lightning McQueen" toy commercial, where the toy had the same voice as the DDR X/X2 AC announcer.

255 851 more and it will be the same as Just Dance 3!

Just the Wii version.

And only counting America.

Am I trolling right now? I'm not sure? I just find the whole situation a bit funny.

As much as we love DDR is it really difficult for us all to accept why a game like Just Dance is kicking DDR's ass?

They change the words Marvellous and Favourite. I'm not sure if much else gets changed. When Konami bother to do this I do appreciate it, but it shouldn't take them six months (on average). Seriously, I suck badly at theming in Stepmania and even I can work out how to add an extra 'L' or a 'U' and that's without being paid for it.

I seriously do appreciate it being in British English, even if the Americans often take offence to the idea. I just wish that everything else about localisation didn't suck so much.

Weirdo, that a Dance Simulation Game got +16, by just a song Lyric or the Dazzlin' Darling video.

About the cover... looks like lacks of imagination.

The cover looks amazing.

I have no idea what could push it upto a 16+. Maybe one or two of the licenses is going to be changed, or the mis-rating of Pop'n Music is making Konami play it safe, and they asked for the rating?

The mere presence of the cover (which includes the guy from the video if you look closely) makes this a 16, obviously.
Y'know, I thought PEGI rates sex a little more leniently than the ESRB? The only really sexual things are in the licenses, specifically in my head, and I don't think that warrants more than a T.

There is no way this has anything to do with Dazzlin Darling.

"MAGGLE"
I'm pretty sure it's about the videos. Aside from Rocket, which is actually quite tame (though the duct tape-covered man and the skimpy outfits come to mind), I can't think of any other video that bumps up the rating to that, it would've been for Dazzlin' Darrlin's video hands down if it was included in the game.

If it was for lyrics, I think it's gonna come from maybe Naoki's songs (when you look into it, the lyrics for some of them are totally about sex and jealousy of sex). But that the hell do I know, I haven't listened to the new KOs.

I hate to ask this, because I know the answer is going to be absolutely retarded, but why do you all think that the Dazzlin Darling video is unsuitable for viewing by people under the age of 16?

Hottest Party 4 got the following rating :
Quote
The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only.
It contains: Mild bad language

So whatever it is, it has to be considered worse than "mild bad language", and in it's current form, it certainly doesn't contain any language which is worse than the language in HP4.

edit : Maybe something is said in one of the two foreign-lanuage songs?

They used the word "damn" in I'm Yours. That was ALL that made it a 12. Despite HP3 having that in My Prerogative and Detroit Rock City, a song about a guy getting pissed and stoned and crashing a car into a truck on the way to a Kiss concert. Hmm.

I don't know why it's a 16+ but it can't not be a kneejerk reaction.

It's fairly obvious. Shit game or not, if you advertise your game and another company doesn't advertise theirs, you will almost definitely sell more of your games than theirs.

Just Dance isn't shit though. It's not necessarily amazing, but for a game that's supposed to simply be about dancing along to songs and having fun it hits its intended audience really well. And it has a pretty big audience.

I only actually own the second game. I wouldn't mind getting the third at some point. I'm not sure how much they differ, but I got the impression that they were pretty similar.
