Those who doesn't have a Wii with GC'ports are screwed
.

All versions of the Wii (and the Wii U will) have USB ports. Dunno why they don't just go with USB right now, unless the ports for some reason can't be used for controller input?

I've heared a new Wii will coming soon for EU market that doesn't support GC'games , also GC's controllers.
Here's some articles : http://www.google.fr/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Wii+without+gamecube+support

Nooooo, Wii is pulling a PS3 now and getting rid of backwards compatibility.

I think it would be a bit more effort to make USB pads, seeing as how a dance pad is essentially a regular controller dpad stretched out for foot play. They would have to retool the technology to make it compatible with a USB interface probably...
"Limited quantities for Europe?" Well HP5, consider yourself as rare as Mario Party 3 in the upcoming years.

PS3 Dance Pads are already USB. ;)
Though the game flopped, there IS ONE reason I picked up DDR 2010 for it.

Decisions indeed. I haven't factored the lack of Gamecube ports in my window shopping.

If DDR II didn't sell as well as DDR I, I wouldn't be too surprised. oAo There are way too many songs there, and some of them are very hard. I think many of the first-time DDR Wii players are casual fans (like me dohoho) who probably would be turned off by such hard songs.
But, really, only about 700 something? Ouch, I hope that wasn't the actual number. D8

To be honest, from the box it doesn't scream "this game has very hard songs" on it. And the average casual gamer doesn't know shit about the songs that aren't licences, let alone R-D-A.

Even going by your logic, there are still quite a few more songs in this game. 80+ beats 50+ songs anyday. A even without the RDA songs (the hardest of the bunch) and the hardest non-bosses (Mei, I'm so Happy

BTW, checked vgchartz again, and the number for the second week doubled to 1500 copies. There's still hope for this game yet!

Too many songs? Pshaw! That's like saying, "Gee, this game's nice and all, but it would be so much better if Konami was actively ripping me off even worse!" If there's a problem with the difficulty curve for newbies and casual-types, there are plenty of ways Konami could fix things. I hardly think throwing away a bunch of songs is the best way to go about that.
Clearly, they SHOULD work harder on getting accurate step ratings, and making sure CS songs are rated on the same scale as AC songs. A lot of the new songs here are loaded with weird turns that the difficulty ratings just don't take into consideration. Plus, surely I'm not the only one who feels like they've always been rating faster songs and slower songs in completely different ways, and that's just confusing! My friend, who's a casual fan, played HEARTBREAK and Say a Prayer on Difficult earlier. The former's a 6 and the latter's a 7, but there's no way in hell that this makes any sense.
Also, I could be completely off-base on this one, but I think that using the Challenge difficulty on a more regular basis theoretically would make it easier to balance the lower difficulties. Seriously, the London EVOLVED triplets constitute the only new CS song with Challenge charts, right? And it seems like the approach to writing Expert charts varies wildly based on whether it's the highest difficulty or not. And that weirdness probably trickles down into Difficult and even Basic sometimes.
(And, I'll be honest, I would've rather Konami put the effort into giving more songs the full five-difficulty spectrum than working on all these long versions. A few of them are nice enough and bring new things to the table, but most of them essentially constitute playing the short version's chart twice in a row.)
But cutting back the number of songs? In this day and age, 50 songs isn't acceptable at all. HP was an experiment and it could be overlooked. HP2 was really pushing it.

About the new KOs not having Challenge charts except London EVOLVED: I think Konami is holding the challenge charts off for the new songs for the arcade. This has happened before on DDR X2, although the DDR X2 CS US (PS2) had the challenge charts for their new KOs.

Even worse? With over 80 songs for $29.99, you're not getting ripped off at all.

I agree with the ratings being off. They probably had trouble rating the songs because the steps were really bad.
Also, not every song needs a full set of
-
.
-
is just fine. In my opinion, London EVOLVED's
chart is unnecessary.
If you think DDR II is a ripoff, it's not. It's one of the better CS versions. It has 80+ songs and for that price, it is a good deal. It brings new content and the originally arcade exclusive X2 content together in one easy to access package.
Now if only the new songs didn't have such shitty charts. Come on Konami, get your shit together.

It's true. Here we have the most songs ever in a US CS release. Casual players shouldn't feel like they are getting ripped off if they only would try out all the songs they don't know. I know lots of people who play DDR casually and won't even listen to song previews for KOs as they try to hunt for songs they recognize. No such thing as too many songs.
Fairy's got a point that there is a big shift in the target audience from DDR 2010 to DDR II and I hope this game starts to get better sales figures.

I revisited some charts today. I was reminded of how much I hated Surrender
. Its simply horrible and the gallops and 8th jumps don't make it any better. Otherwise, I love the game.

Ooh dear, I didn't mean that too many songs means a bad buy. D8 I meant that it's a little overwhelming, and sometimes I forget what's new and what's not new. 80 songs is great, but like I said, I found it a bit overwhelming.
I'm slowly getting used to the videos of the X2 songs. smooooch is very cute, and I even made up a routine to go with it. ._.; And on routines, so far I think only HEARTBREAK has a definite "routine", at least a routine that doesn't change every time the song is selected. I still need to research this. D8
Buh. New Decade's video on long version just loops. Did New Decade not have a long-version video or what? D8 The video is very out-of-sync with the music on Long Version, and it only doubles how dizzy that video makes me.
