With this song i realized i miss some new hip hop songs in IIDX between all these hardcore/rave/drum-dubstep

Same here. Early IIDX and 5KEY games had great Hip Hop songs. Not that IIDX is horrible now, but a lot of these "insert word here-core" and "insert word here-step" songs just start to sound the same...to me, at least. If Nujabes was still alive, it would've been one of the best decisions to have him commissioned to do some Hip Hop songs. DJ Mass MAD Izm* should get back with Kengo the LJ3 to form MAD Sequence* and add more Hip Hop to IIDX.

Yeah, it sounds like they just tacked on the Amen break onto the orchestral song, and chopped up the sample here and there so it sounds like a "Jungle" song. X_X


I have to agree; "Do You Love Me?" is one of my favorites. I would love to see Shoji Meguro (from the Persona series) make some commission songs someday, they would be sick to listen to.

Note that Maozon, the artist of Arcana, has composed a song for CROSS×BEATS. I see multiple people think here that it means you get to konami's blacklist but here we are.

Looks like the theory of what sound directors want and not want in the game is true. Though the listening stuff is true for Dynamite Rave, the Atsushi Shindo songs,Moba MOGA(or could be that the BEMANI staff really dislikes this song since other Shizue sings are still on BEMANI games) and possibly Look to the Sky though that could be untrue too.

Just analyze this situiation, Maozon isn't the only artist working with CxB and BEMANI in a short period of time. We have other examples

- ASLETICS (let's face it, easily SWEETEST SAVAGE could be buried and another "new" song is gonna be revived in copula ... but here we are)
- OSTER Project actually also works with CxB and BEMANI (as a member of Rhyze for BEMANI, and doing a remix of a song in CxB)
- Xi working as a comissioned artist in SDVX ... and doing a boss song (i believe ...) in CxB

I can't remember other cases but i kinda believe all this situation of the blacklist thing is only "true" depending of the game (mostly i believe this applies only in DDR and maybe RB with the case of the BMF)

Well if this blacklisting thing is really a myth, SLAKE, RAM, DJ SIMON and Shoichiro Hirata need to find a way to get their asses back to IIDX for a bit. I'd also like it if GRATEC MOUR did a song for IIDX (he made Satellite System ft.Dian Chiaki for crossbeats REV.).

I never put much stock in the whole blacklist thing anyway. Besides, one of Sho-T's songs is getting revived in pop'n, so...

EDIT: A thought that just came to mind: How come they replaced SWEETEST SAVAGE's [A] chart with the Black Another from DJ Troopers? I kinda understood why they did that for 2 tribe 4 K, but i kinda thought that if there were any other Black Another charts brought to arcades that they would fall under the LEGGENDARIA folder or something.

The Shindo songs had the whole plagiarism deal going on though, it's a complete different case.

The Phoenix Wright remix? That song was actually made before OSTER was a RHYZE member, since then she has not appeared again in crossbeats.
