To be fair, I never listen to a PARANOiA song and think "what a banger" except for like PARANOiA (kskst mix) or PARANOiA Respect.

Trip Machine is the better series music-wise imo, but they both have their bangers. Paranoia has kskst mix, KCET Clean Mix, HADES and Respect... but there isn't really a Trip Machine I can think of that I don't really like outside of Phoenix.

I think PhoeniX is the best one.

Also, way too many early PARANOiA mixes sound too similar, so that kind of brings the whole series down a peg for me.

Love Shine (Body Grooverz 2006 Mix) is my favorite version of Love Shine.

I cannot stand people posting their first PFC/MFC/whateverFC and it is always Let the Beat Hit em!(Classic R&B Style) ESP. I appreciate the effort achieved to get said score, but god damn I've seen this nonstop for the past 2 years and it feels less impressive the more I see it. Please, there are plenty of other songs to try.

IIDX Infinitas is the superior experience compared to the arcade. No background noise, no penalties for failing, no login /event bloat and a lower cost per stage in the long term, even with the song packs.

It's because that song is grossly misrated and people feel a sense of accomplishment that their first Expert FC was a 10, even though that song is a light 8 at best.

KCET is an actual banger, it is probably the only PARANOiA I would consider listening to outside of rhythm games. Overall, Trip Machine has more musically coherent tracks, although I will admit that "Trip Machine Survivor" is slightly diarrhea.

jubeat is a memorisation game with actual inherent rhythm sense minimised and that's why it will never be surpassed as BEMANI's worst game in concept

The addition of non-rhythm game KONAMI music to games like jubeat and RB gave the series a lot more flavour and I'm sad that basically never happens anymore. Even the QMA stuff is basically designed for the music games anyway

P*Light and DJ Genki, in their signature styles, are basically redundant with each other and I have no idea why you'd be sad to lose both

There is still a place for low level charts in rhythm games and I hate when custom and even official creators ignore this to make their latest le hardest song evar ecksdee

It's okay to judge rhythm game songs on "suitedness for rhythm games" as well as quality, and this is the real reason why modern IIDX music has fallen off for me (similarly, the "best" songs in the most recent BOF contests for the past few years have been outside the top 30)

Never trust anyone who composes songs with non-integer BPM

We need to normalize playing on Beginner, Light, and Standard. Pretty much every song has what you’re asking for. If you’re willing to stomp on Up a few times on the song select screen. It’s egos that make people say things like you did. Go play Trip Machine Evolution on Light and have a good time man. It’s a decent chart.

THIS. People are legit just turned off from lower charts just because the difficulties are named Basic and Difficult. I used to feel the opposite, when the X scale was being introduced. I used to feel like 13+ charts should only be assigned to Expert and Challenge difficulty.

Kinda ridiculous, tbh. Any first PFC/MFC/whateverFC is a glorious thing no matter what song it is. Should be proud of people for their accomplishments instead of snuffing their pride because "it's a light 8 at best".

On the note of "easier charts are good you guys are just mean", I cannot stand it when a song gets revealed for DDR* and the most common reaction is "oh, it's only a [number below 16]? " Like... Sorry that Konami ruined your 14 lamp or whatever, but it really wouldn't kill you to play and at least try to enjoy something easier than what you usually do.

*I'm sure this exists in other BEMANI fandoms but I really only see it with DDR
