I'm not sure if this will hapend or not but... i might use rolls for my song on the 3rd week (80'). And if it's not for this song, it will be for an other one in the future...
No problem with that ? Since we use hands/mines... but rolls required an other stepmania than the old 3.9. So i ask.

What happens when you play songs with rolls in Stepmania 3.9? Does it just convert them to regular freezes?

I think it ignores the beginning of the roll and only has an unhittable arrow at the same spot as the end of the roll.

They look like freezes. If you hit them right, nothing happens, but the note apparently doesn't even get graded. If you miss it the game crashes.

Yeah that. + was Oni says about crash and that no grade on this steps.

So playing rolls on 3.9 will give you a broken charts.
Rolls are awesome, this kind of step give new potential to stepcharts.

To make the original sm files, I usually just copy an sm file from a different song and paste it into my new song folder, then replace all the appropriate contents (BPM, song title, artist etc.). Guess I forgot to erase the banner/BG parameters. Oh wells.

Stepmania has the "Create Song" function for a reason there, Pie.
