I'd like to hear the more old styled songs that were on older DDR's. I don't know why... but newer DDRs just have a different feel in songs...

I'm not a big Dancemania fan, but 2 Unlimited would also be nice.

If this game is actually happening, then this is probably the most realistic list. I think they're pretty likely to use the 'filler' songs from Ultramix and Universe, to give "new content" to the japanese market, like they did with DDR Festival. Most of the artists who did those songs are probably doing it royalty-free, and a large bulk of the songs came from freelance music studios. It's a really cheap way to make a fairy big game, full of music that's new to ayone who doesn't play the American Xbox games.

he's done 3, including la senorita. HVAM(just because its an x-special doesnt mean its a boss song, its just what they chose for 5th mix) and orion civ mix.

He did AM-3P (303 Bass Mix), which was used as menu music in one of the CS games, and then used as a filler song in one of the american games.

He did Cutie Chaser Morning Mix, which was a remix of his own song, but was pretty amazing, in my opinion.

Aaaaaand he remixed It's A Small World (Ducking Hardcore Remix), which in my opinion, is his best song, possibly the best boss song in any DDR game. He remixed Electrical Parade in the same game, which wasn't a boss song.

I wish those songs were canon :{

Will this mark the first Xbox DDR game in that region?

They released Ultramix, which completely failed to sell.

After that, they started taking the 'filler' songs (the ones which are created for the game by unsigned artists and production studios) from the Ultramix games, and slowly mixing them into CS and AC mixes to pad out the songlists.

I miss the old-style rave artists. TaQ and tiger Yamato laid down some badass tracks.
It's too bad that dj Naguero left Bemani... Sad
So did TaQ. Those were the days, when I would watch my mom and my cousin play DXY! and R3 on Konamix.
\Whoa, whoa, whoa... TaQ left too? Where have I been? Sad

His last song was .Jack, which was around 2002? It was the same time Atsushi Shindou left.

The only thing he's done since then was a remix of Colours for dj TAKA's album, although I think he did that for free, as a favor for TAKA.

[citation needed]

I wasn't asking the question because I wasn't sure if an Xbox DDR game had ever been released in Japan, I was asking because I wasn't sure that if this game gets released in Japan that they would bother with an Xbox version. I have never ever heard of ULTRAMIX being released anywhere outside of North America. When it was under development it was going to be a sequel to the PC version of Dance Dance Revolution and released on Windows which would have given it the chance to filter to Japan even if that wasn't a region of release, but the game was ported to the Xbox at the last moment (which was easy since the Xbox is running Windows). Then they made UNLEASHED for Europe but when it came to Japan I understand that they mulled over it and ultimately decide not to even try... and as you said, not a year later DDR FESTIVAL features a good-sized handful of ULTRAMIX songs.

Electrical Parade

Best Disney song to date. Have U1 and Tomosuke ever done anything else together like that?

you're missing the point entirely, which is kind of sad really. just because its the same artist doesnt mean its a 2MB track. i know 303 bass mix and CCMM are U1 tracks, as well as ducking hardcore remix and MSEP.

those are NOT 2MB tracks. there is a certain style that he puts into the 2MB tracks, just like naoki makes tracks a certain way under his own name, and a different way under de-sire, revenge, or any other alias.

I thought we talking about Yuichi Asami remixes which weren't boss songs?

Must have mis-read - I thought someone was suggesting he should make some remixes which aren't forced into being part of the "2MB" gimmick. In other words, remixes which are closer to the style of his original songs, not just boss songs which have to "sound hard"... Which I agree with.

Too many of his songs sound similar to the originals, because they're remixes of loud, fast, hard songs, and because they're the CS boss songs, the remixes have to sound like louder, faster, harder songs. :{

nope, the topic was 2MB songs that arent remixes of boss songs. IE la senorita virtual, HVAM, and orion civ.

paranoia kcet, trip machine luv mix, max.(period), FELM, and PR are boss song remixes.

all songs listed are under the 2MB alias, however not all of them are remixes of boss songs. we were talking about taking a regular song, like la senorita, and giving it a hardcore style remix. imagine, say, a 2MB remix of taj he spitz. thats the kind of thing we were talking about.

Not even 2MB is capable of making Taj he shitz sound good.

I liked the Taj He Spitz remix too! Imagine a 2MB remix of a song like Saber Wing! I'm sure he could make any song sound sooo great! Why not a remix of Dynamite Rave to try and give the new lyrics a bit more love! lol! I must be the only one liking Taj He Spitz remix AND Dynamite Rave's new lyrics...Sad
