The VV 185BPM 16th/24th hell part is much, much harder than any part of Summer the same length. Also, there's the ~360 BPM 8th run before the slowdown, and the ~400 BPM mine filled 8th run before the 555 section of death.

I think ITG is definitely harder, so most pro players used to quit and go to itg rather than ddr because of the toughness was starting to fit them more. But DDR is stepping up his game so I think ddr might actually get harder and attract more pro players back, yay! Pandy and Summer ~speedy mix~ are indeed the hardest in my opinion, because that's pretty much the only 2 I've tried and tried over again on the keyboard and failed every time. I've passed Vertex2, and don't have the other ITG song atm, but am thinking of getting it today. Vertex is actually pretty easy to pass. I think it's fairly easy, and possible to pass if you can pass PRO. PRO and Vertex actually remind me of the same concept, fairly easy at the beginning, then it goes death run. For DDR songs, I've passed em all Oni on the keyboard... So, in my opinion, yes, ITG is harder.

The boss songs have been becoming 12-like, but as hard as DDR songs get, there's just no way any combination of 8ths and 16ths they'd use will ever be harder than what Pandy and VV deal you.

they may be eventually
to be honest i don't think Pandy looks a WHOLE lot harder than FAXX or PHO, the gap is getting smaller.
Also, one advantage ITG has over DDR in the difficulty debate is that ITG songs are longer.

You know what they need to do with ddr (i mean, if they haven't with itg)? On edit mode, they should make it go up to 32nds, not just 16th (this includes 24ths). Then ddr can get the best results and pummel itg. Also, ddr needs to have it so that the challenges are like boss rushes! MUWAHAHAH!... wait, ignore the boss rushes part...

And the problem with boss songs getting harder is that everything else is getting easier (general trend, I know Arrabbiata is a 10 in disguise), which only makes it tougher to transition from 9's to 10's.

Blake FC'd it.
Well, he missed the last hand on purpose, but I still consider it an FC.

Edit's don't count? Aww... Oh well. Also, I already knew that regular songs go to 32nd notes. Just can't think of any songs other than FAXX.

Oh shut up... I was just thinking off the top of my head. I mean it should've been obvious bag. possibly PHO because I have SN2 American version, which isn't as good as the JP version, so I wouldn't really recognize pluto, but still l should've...

This isn't right...
IT ISN'T RIGHT!
There...there are songs in ITG3 that are spammed by my sisters... that made my mind fry.
I had no idea that Less than Three was... that.
Then there is that Numa Numa song. >_<
So far, I don't really like too many of the songs on ITG3
Dream to Nightmare is okay... then again the stepchart is like electrocuting CHAOS. Those aren't normal stops.
Pink Fuzzy Bunnies scares me.... The chart is pretty unrelenting but it's a 13 footer like Summer -speedy mix- is a 13 footer.
Disconnected Hardcore doesn't sound too great. Chart is worthy of a 13 footer though
Hasse Mich is odd. Not as hard as Vertex^2 and definitely doesn't sound as good it (IMO) either. Pretty killer though.

"I'm honestly pissed off." |
I have to say, Vertex is the easiest of those, and the best synced/easiest to follow. Scores for Vertex (others in a bit):
x0.5:
581 Marv
188 Perf
17 Great
MC 814
91.1%
x0.6:
615 Marv
158 Perf
13 Great
MC 814
92.6%
I was blown away when I saw those scores, even though the song was so easy slowed down, I normally can't get anywhere near that many Marv on any other song. None of my other scores from the weekend compare. Anyway, Vertex is out of the contest for hardest.
All songs were played at C750 (375/450 after the slowdown was applied), with mines off.
So, my expectation is that I'll pass all of them on x0.7. It'll be a near thing at the end of PRO, end of HDVO, end of Vertex^2, and the 24ths in Determinator. The others I don't expect to have trouble on at that speed. Sure, the jumps in FELMO and FAXXO will be rough, but I think I'll be able to do them more easily than the crossovers.
I'll admit that the ending of PRO definitely compares to difficulty seen in Pandy, Summer, and Determinator, and it's just long enough that you have to actually be able to do it well to survive it. The rest of PRO is a warmup by comparison. It's as if they were aiming for a 9 for most of the song, then decided to step up to 13 for the end.
The stepjumps in the beginning of PHO broke my combo practically every time. The crossovers tricked me into facing the wrong way, and I couldn't twist around fast enough. Definitely harder to combo than the stepjumps in Pandy. Easier to survive than Pandy though, as you have more time between streams.
The ending of Vertex^2 is downwrong brutal, but it's short enough that if you've got your bar full, you can probably survive it. Determinator gets my vote for hardest, because if you can't actually do those 24ths, you won't survive, and they're faster than anything else.
Okay, I'll admit it, the top of the pile stuff in DDR can compare to the top of the line charts in ITG. But the ITG stuff is synced better, and less awkward to perform. (I agree with GSB on HDV's jumps not being synced correctly)
But who wants to have only 5-6 songs that are challenging to them? Thus, ITG will continue to be more popular among the high level players.
I still need to throw away the data that doesn't agree with my prejudices. <_<
