I've seen the videos and find it easy to replicate the graphics. It deserves his own thread an Github Repository to create it? I'll create some other graphics this weekend, and maybe starting to add the graphics into an empty theme.

I guess we're just gonna ignore that some people don't have computers that can handle SM5+ builds and that not everyone has the money available to get a new rig just for StepMania. While I don't agree with using 3.9+ as I think it's several steps back from what people are getting into these days, to say that it doesn't have its place is silly.

if your computer can't even handle SM5 then you just have a pretty bad computer and people shouldn't make themes for it just to cater to you

Here's how I see it.
While I have personally switched to SM5 starting in the beginning of the year (although unfortunately as things stand DDRMAX4 is still stuck on 3.9) and I do enjoy the newer features introduced in it (flexible speedmods, awesome warp gimmicks, etc.), if people want to use 3.9 than I don't see any real reason why they shouldn't. I'm fine with people still using 3.9 (or other outdated versions like 4, 3.95, etc.) even though it's true everyone using SM5 would be more practical.
Sometimes it could also be a case where their computer can't run SM5 altogether, even though that's improbable. Because the most probable cause is for some people, once they find a particular version of something they like, they stick with it and don't change unless they have to.
Although, really, you're right about the multiple resolutions thing. While I personally use 4:3, I would find it headache inducing to make, say, DDRMAX4 16:9 on Stepmania 3.9.
