If we're not going to have Challenge charts for every song, why should we have Beginner for every song? Or Basic? Why not just have the one difficulty? IT'S ALL ABOUT CHOICE PEOPLE
Seriously, this is one of the reasons I'm turned off by PIU. There are so many gaps in difficulty charts for songs. Some songs might only have two charts total while other could have 8...

I think it could depends of various factors, Konami create in most of the songs simple steps that misses a lot of beats of the songs, the challenge for some of them could be a balance in difficulty, making it at least playable. Also I think songs with a Higher BPM, like boss songs, trance/techno or song higher than 130/150 bpm should have a challenge difficult cause the speed could create a enjoyable experience and adds some difficulty, some examples could be Somewhere over the rainbow, Tracers, Eternus, etc. They have simple steps, but the songs deserve a challenge chart to enjoy the rhythm. The DDR games have evolved a lot since the DDRX release, but the game still seems to be unbalanced to me
