The problem I have for this is that BeatPlayer2000 is essentially a classic Beatmania knockoff. It's LITERALLY Beatmania 1stMIX reskinned. I might be impressed a bit if you made a fan Beatmania game instead, but a fan sequel of a music game knockoff of another music game with poorer graphics is worse. It would be a good knockoff in terms of audio quality if it's music was actually decent.
Also nice bait and switch. I honestly wanted to see a BeatPlayer2000 HD Remake theme in BMS, especially since BeatPlayer2000 has a much more lively color palate than classic Beatmania imo.

There's no need to overreact. Yes, BeatPlayer2000 is a Korean Beatmania knockoff with MIDI music. But maybe he likes the game for reasons. Because of how rare it is, or maybe the sounds have potential (just gotta use more than MIDI), or something else? We shouldn't patronize users for being into something unlikely.

What I was responding to, though, is that Tikal didn't want the idea of a sequel to BeatPlayer2000 to exist, even if it DOES turn out good. The graphics provided are probably how the menus will be laid out but they probably won't be all rainbowy.
