Yeah I'm really looking forward to 3.9+, but I think I'll wait until the debugging gets finished. I don't want to overlay my current version yet (too much stuff to keep track of) or have two concurrent SM versions installed at once.

Great to hear you're getting a reader! I think that will leave just the JP songs to get... sure wish there were Youtube videos for those =p

Yeah, no kidding on those JP songs... we may be sunk on those ones for the time being.

Also... here's a tricky question: How do we go about naming the tokyoEVOLVED variations, seeing as how they each have their own charts on every difficulty?

I currently have them all in this format, but I'm not sure if it's the best way:

It's certainly descriptive - that's useful. I wonder if it could be differentiated by the Groove Radar enough to just go by (1), (2) and (3)... though that seems too arbirary, and it'd be nicer if we could find what order they are stored in the code. Rawr, it's too bad Stepmania doesn't seem to have functionality for this or Sunkiss Drop.

Heavens and the Earth
BeginnerLightStandardHeavy done. The freezes and low BPM (70, wow!) made it tricky to judge some of the timings, but a lot of it went with the beat and I finally remembered how to read Vivid X)

I'm going to bed now, but I plan on doing Here I Go Again next.

Okay, grabbing and updating.

As for TE: The radars for the step-jump one and run-jump one are realyl similar (sightly different air value)... but the pure run one is quite a bit different.

In the meantime, Caught Up is now up on the site.

Also, I found my original line-outs from the game, so I'm going to redo the mp3's for the four American version songs, which were not on the soundtrack. I think Al used my 128kbps mp3's and upscaled them to 192kbps; I'll just re-encode them as 192kbps from scratch.

Also, I just found a Youtube video for the Pure Runs version of tokyoEVOLVED showing the Difficult steps, so I'm going to get those added in. Smile

Oh good, now I don't have to redo the Beg-Sta charts for Caught Up. I was halfway through Standard and decided to do the Heavy chart first, and for some reason my work vanished for the other charts (hadn't saved yet). I don't remember hitting Reload from Disk... *shrugs* Oh, and the background is named "-bn". You might want to change that. And oh well, the TE idea was worth a shot lol.

Here's a crappy banner for RIAD from this vid, so it at least has something:

Oh, and Lesson by DJ has all of its files named "Lessons by DJ", including the background o.o

Not to worry about the banners; I have ones I took with my camera so I'm going to see if I can touch them up.

Caught Up's background name has been fixed.

The Lesson by DJ typo has been fixed (someone else did those files and I never checked the titles for typos).

Oh, that would really help! The five JP exclusives are:
B4U (Rising Sun Mix)
Double Tornard
Lesson by DJ (Japanese version)
True Love (Clubstar's True Club Mix)
Pluto the First

Of those, we only have the Heavy steps for Pluto the First.

Oh, right. >_<
I forgot to mention that it will be easier to sim them if Gimmicks are turned off. Stepmania doesn't have Double Arrows anyway. Thanks; that was certainly fast o.o;

Sorry, that's all that I could find on NicoNicoDouga (remember that they aren't my videos). Are step-charts without gimmicks are much different from the ones that have them?

"I'm honestly pissed off."
The easiest way to make the sims is to make a video of 4-player mode, with each player on a different difficulty. That way, you know all four difficulties are synced up correctly. I could upload a couple of the videos I made months ago, but they don't have sound, so they're only useful for the steps and stops.

Yeah, I didn't get anything done over the weekend. Sorry.

No need to apologize; it's not like I'm standing over anyone here with a whip and demanding simfiles by the hour. Tongue

I got a lot less done this weekend than I wanted, as well (I kinda started playing Portal... and yeah...)

My mem card reader arrived today. I also happen to now have tokyoEVOLVED unlocked. ;)

I'll try and get the last music track for it tonight or tomorrow, along with starting to grab videos of the missing difficulties.

--- EDIT ---

Sweet, I just got the music on my first try as well! As soon as I have that done up, I'll put up a new workfile with the three TE versions in it. Smile
