アルストロメリア / TAG - Getting close to FLOWER, 凛として花咲くの如く, and I'm so Happy in terms of series that it's in, it only has BeatStream and Dance Evolution to go before it exists in some form in every series. And for good reason too!
嘆きの樹 / 金獅子 - It's been a classic in the IIDX series ever since its release in DistorteD, and now it's finally being crossed over to other series 9 years after its original release, truly signifying its mark on BEMANI as an iconic song.
(i made a list of these that I thought would be good and not just because I like them and TAG was like 2/3rds of them lmfao)

You can vote for your own songs. The voting will end at either 15 votes or after 24 hours. If you take out Tohoku, then Pluto Relinquish is the next fastest, and it has quite a bit more than one jump. ;)
Edit: If you want to Dive ~more deep and deeper style~ (sorry for that) Max Period has a decently long run at 600 BPM. Thats more that 150BPM more that 888's 444 BPM.

That's fine, were talking about the bpm, not the steps, unless I'm having a completely different conversation than I thought I was. If were talking about steps, that opens up a whole different door of songs that have faster notes.

I consider the display BPM rather than the actual BPM, I am fully aware there are faster songs.

If we wanted to get picky, then I guess VD has the fastest stream in the game? (8ths at 480bpm = 16ths at 240bpm, aka ITG mode) But 888 is hands down the most frantic and chaotic song in the franchise.
