Is this the DDR2013 theme by gene and Strider? I already have that one and I haven't been able to get the dancer and weight input working.
I'm recreating the e-amuse login screen from scratch, so far it features login messages and player information. I'll be adding a password screen for SMOnline and see how e-amuse-ish I can make it.

Yes, sounds like my theme , and I know how to put a dancer character in that screen.

Just saw the footage of the theme. Loving the progress so far. Sadly, this is probably the closest we're going to get to an English version of the interface (Especially considering the mod names are now exclusively in Japanese, at least from the footage of people playing DDR 2014 that I've seen, anyway). Keep up the good work! : )

Don't worry about it too much, default/_fallback will have a screen for setting profile weight and related stuff in the next nightly build.Post #28 · Posted at 2014-09-18 03:33:54am 10.7 years ago

Weird. I've been going by footage of people playing the game, like this one below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDNL32UVCN8
Right at the start, you can see the mod menu is completely in Japanese. Is there a way to translate them to English or something within the cabinet's service mode? It's a rather unfortunate thing, considering we actually had official western versions up until X2, and Konami just packed up and left town without a rhyme or reason. Someone who might be brand new to the series might be a little intimidated from this, since even back when everyone was importing/bottlegging the machines before SN came out, the necessities (such as, of course, names of mods) were in English. >>

you will put in your theme images of those characters when you do a combo of 20.50 and 100?

OMG! FINALLY!
This is a weird franken-theme between DDR 2013 and DDR NG. I like it.

Please consider stripping out any unused or otherwise unnecessary files before the final release. Using my own work as an exmaple, Simply Love's release was ~3MB zipped, but it only got to be that size because I spent weeks going through it with a fine-tooth comb removing anything I could.
I understand that this is currently an alpha release, but there are a few .psd files, .rar archives, and BGAnimation.ini files in various places adding to overall filesize.
In ./BGAnimations/ScreenMovie background/, you have a 90MB avi file that is 24 seconds in duration. I compressed it using h264 via ffmpeg and got it down to 3.6MB at no noticeable quality loss. Please consider replacing the avi with this: http://www.mediafire.com/watch/in0t5puhcyr9i7o/background.mp4
Finally, there are multiple warnings raised about graphics with dimensions that aren't multiples of 2; easy to fix.
---
Food for thought:
In ./BGAnimations/ScreenEvaluation decorations/grade/ you have several images that are essentially the same thing:
Fullcombo_ring.png
GoodFullcombo_ring.png
PerfectFullCombo_ring.png
MarvelousFullCombo_ring.png
Then, in the accompanying default.lua, you load them all and conditionally hide the ones you don't need (you do the same thing with grade graphics). Why not have a single ring.png file that is colored white, that you diffuse to the needed color using lua? It'd be fewer graphics and less code.
It looks like you utilize this approach a LOT in your code, despite it requiring more graphics and more conditional Lua...
I'll save the lecture regarding your misuse of SM5 decorations for another day. ;)
