[SM5] BG Videos of DDR 2013 Dancers HELP!

Put a video of your choice in your RandomMovies if you're not using DDR NG.

The jist of what I did to generate dancer videos:

1) record blank edit gameplay from PCSX2 using a high internal render resolution (like 4x native) and lossless compression
2) crop out remaining gameplay elements, trim unnecessary footage off either end, and compress with virtualdub using whatever codec Stepmania likes to actually display

That's basically it. It looks like nightly Stepmania builds are incorporating ffmpeg filters (again? for the first time? my knowledge of all this isn't perfect) and where trying to use something like x264 for compression previously crashed the game in my experience, it now renders nicely, so you can use better codecs than xvid to make a smaller, nicer looking video.

can you make a list of the programs you used?

Place one of them in your RandomMovies folder. Make sure you choose "Random Movies" in the settings.

I pretty much did: PCSX2, virtualdub, and relevant codecs (huffyUV for the lossless capture, whatever codec works best with stepmania for the final compression).

I have some X2/X3 AC avis. Only works for SM5 due to h264 container. Sorry SM3.9 users.

Sadly, bgs which SupremeX requested (the green/black one) and the other with clouds cannot be done. I was just playing CHAOS song in beginner step, with cut, stealth and dark mods all on. Seems like this song don't show these backgrounds.

Is it possible with Love Again in Beginner?

Having Cut mod on won't make those 4th and 8th steps invisible. So is Love Again.

I may say, any SM3.9 variant, so is SM AMX and SM3.9+ REDUX.

I can only record video using CHAOS song with specified modifiers on, in beginner step. If you have any song you know of that has no 4th notes, let me know.
