Just so you know: In the Groove was in fact developed after DDR and based off the open source StepMania, which was originally designed to simulate DDR. This is a relatively well-known fact in the dance community. For your own sake, learn a couple things:

tbh quadra you are very slow at picking up sarcasm/jokes and you ask a lot of stuff that you could find simply by googling a phrase. (i.e. view the wikipedia page about ITG)

What if I just want to ask what someone's favorite music game is? Also, isn't the point number just for bragging rights? I mean, I know I got a strike, but don't the points do anything? I just want to ask a question, why do the rules have to be so strict?

Quadra, there may be an elitist problem in some cases, but not really here. The rules PinkiePieGamer quoted above are standard rules that most any forum or, for that matter, public place of discussion is going to have, either explicitly or implicitly. You have to internalize those rules or else a lot of communities are going to react the same way ZIV is now. On the positive side, think of a gaming community forum as a platform to learn these skills so that once you get to bigger things, including real world discussions, you don't get so much vitriol flung your way.

if you want to ask that, ask it in a place where it's the topic and not just a random non sequitur. the points don't directly do anything but it certainly gets the attention of mods and whatnot when they get as low as yours
also the rules aren't all that strict. when you follow them you start realizing how not strict they are

usually it's pretty straightforward. thread titles describe threads pretty well most of the time
if worst comes to worst, you could always make a new thread. just don't make a bazillion threads like "i found a missing graphic in 4thMIX" or "i like this DDR song"
really, it all boils down to common sense

that's not the point; do you want your question answered or not?
put that other shit aside and just use it; google does it's job right with that stuff and prevents useless spam (like you're doing)
