That's true. If the artwork of the cover means anything, it would most likely represent the very vibrant background videos. I always saw the Xbox DDR games as the seizures of the series, and with Universe on the Xbox 360, the seizures are now on HDTV!!!

But in all seriousness, that's why I don't play the Ultramix series, for fear of getting a seizure.

Having had strobe-induced seizures before, I should be susceptible... but have played quite a bit of UM4 without incident... also, the move to HD should actually lower the incidence of strobe-based seizures, as you have less opportunity for signal noise and artifacting to play a role.

It's by no means the worst box art, but it is kinda lacking something. Granted, I am a child of the 80's, so it has a bit of appeal to me in that regard.

Speaking of the 80s, though, see some of the game box art from that timeframe. Some of it is just outrageously awful.

looking at the UK song lists, i have to give a big "WTF" to konami. i've played euromix 2, they must have loved you guys at some point to give you a game like that, whats been going on the past few years? since i got to germany i decided i would pick up some of the dancing stage games because they are easier to find in this continent than in the US, and i have to say i feel like i wasted my money, especially those 20 song PSONE games.

oh, and i hope they fixed the "for no reason we're not going to have the unlockable songs show up in your song list so now you have to delete your save and start quest mode over again" glitch for you guys, after losing my unlocks i havnt touched my copy of universe.

I brought mine from GAME,it wasnt even on the shelfs, no wonder they dont sell well. had to ask the guy to get it from out the back. 49.99 pound it cost (with the dance mat)

Wots this thing about Seizure on DSU.

The really flashy backgrounds in DDR/DS Universe can cause epileptic seizures for people that are prone to that condition, it's just telling you to be a little careful when playing. You can adjust the background brightness if it's causing you problems.

Most games sold in the US have that warning, at least in the manuals... but yeah, as somebody who has suffered a strobe-pattern seizure before, turning the brightness of the TV down and making sure you play in a well-lit room would minimize the chance of that happening (that being said, I've played some relatively strobe-heavy games in the dark with no ill effect).

No, it seems like KONAMI hasn't released them for us yet. There really shouldn't be any delay for us to be able to get them.

I am finding it hard to unlock Drivin and Healing Vision, they are my only songs i need to unlock.

I'll just throw something out there that might kinda help. On DDR Universe, after beating the second round of nationals, I would wait until the third round came up, play the first match and fail on purpose. Then I know it won't try to start nationals again, which makes for a better chance at getting invitations. Then all you have to do is back out to the difficulty/character select screen, then jump back in. The game will then most likely change where you recieved invites to. Just keep doing that until you get the areas you need. ;)

Has anyone had this problem in DS UNIVERSE when moving across different places in quest mode, when your about to buy something (ie MUSIC SHOP) the game suddenly freezes.

(This has only happen when ive been buying songs in quest mode....(ie CANDY, BROKEN MY HEART, ECSTASY. Which you cannot play yet anyway as they are only downloadable from XBOX LIVE.

You might want to stop buying MUSIC CLIPS when you get up to 64.

If you get 65 and then the 66th prompts up, the game and console will crash as it's gonna prompt you for a song that DOESN'T exist on Dancing Stage Universe.

I can't go on QUEST MODE any more cos of this bug.
