DanceDanceRevolution plus [Special Announcement!]

And now, time for a special announcement!

DanceDanceRevolution plus Phase Two will feature... Challenge charts!! That's right, both old songs and new songs will be eligible to receive Challenge stepcharts! As new songs are released, old songs will receive Challenge charts at random. As even more new songs are released, more Challenge charts will be included, and some songs may even debut with Challenge charts by default!

If that wasn't enough, I am proud to announce the DanceDanceRevolution plus Phase Two will also feature, at long last, Doubles Mode! However, due to the considerably larger effort it takes to create Doubles charts as opposed to Singles, Doubles Mode charts will be Expert only.

As Phase Two draws closer to its start, more and more new features will be announced, and perhaps even some songs will be teased, so please, stay tuned!

This is a pretty nice and unique method of distribution. I have a few suggestions. How about some packs with Dancemania songs that never made it to DDR? There could be Classic, Euro, Bass and Speed packs.

I plan to not use the pack distribution system anymore in favor of a more arcade-esque method of adding songs, but your suggestion brings me to another announcement: Dancemania songs are coming! In fact, here's our first song spoiler for Phase Two! Can you guess the song from the revealed letters?

Time for another special announcement!!

DanceDanceRevolution plus Phase Two will have a special launch party release schedule!! Each day for a week, five songs of a specific type will be uploaded!!

Monday: American licenses
Tuesday: J-pop and K-pop
Wednesday: Anime
Thursday: Originals/doujin
Friday: BEMANI crossovers
Saturday: ???
Sunday: ???

In addition, a handful of songs will be given Challenge and/or Doubles charts during this period!! Expect to see more as more songs are put out!!

Next time, I will be proud to announce a special thematic event that will take place during Phase Two... so please, stay tuned!

Long time no see Blinded.

Announcement: DanceDanceRevolution plus -phase two- is just about ready!! However, I regret to inform you that I won't be delivering on some of the things I mentioned... the additional Challenge and Doubles charts for -phase one- songs will not be released at launch, but will come later. In addition, no songs will have videos at launch, but they too will be added later. I wish I could follow through with these at launch, but if I was to do so, the launch would be delayed another few months. However, as consolation, the default 25 files will be released ALL AT ONCE, in addition to the x-scale ratings files!! This will likely be the last post I make in this thread, because I will be moving to a new thread when -phase two- is released!! Thanks to everyone who's stuck around this long, and I apologize again for the long wait!
