I made my last post before I read Astroman129's posts. But there isn't too much to address. There are no politics in this project. If a Stepmania package is good it is my hobby to enhance it and share the new version. I do have a new format for my Youtube previews. They now contain information on the steps and music video with a download link.

There's a difference between doing what's LEGAL and doing what's RIGHT. Learn that, please.

So, you take what someone else took the time and effort to create... throw on some videos that someone else took the time and effort to make... and claim this amalgam of other people's content as your own pack. Specifically as a "new version" of said content...
How do you not see what is wrong with this picture? How are you able to justify this activity as "okay"?

There's being a troll, and there's being blindingly ignorant to all logic and reasoning. So, with wasted breath, I exclaim; taking someone's content and meshing it with someone else's content is still stealing. You did not ask for permission to use these files. You did not give a heads-up, a private message, a notification. Nothing. You took content that wasn't yours. Plain and simple.

It is and isn't stealing. The issue some people are having is that you took their files and put it in your project without asking permission to do so. Realistically it doesn't matter, since no one here could stop you from using their files anyway, unless they delete them before you can get them. However, it would be better to ask permission beforehand if you want to use someone else's file in your own project.

Because very few Stepmania packages have music videos and when they do they are often offered in a quality lower than they are available in.

The step charts are what makes the game interactive. But the music video is the artistic portion of the game. It shows the song's influence, demonstrates fandom, or just shows you what the artist looks like.
