Well if you do get the pad I said, please tell me how you like it, i wanna see if it just me or not

I've ordered two actually today, I'm most likely going to modify them, as you've shown. I do wonder if i could perhaps use the foam padding underneath the pad, just as a extra cushion, I'll probably need to modify some of the specifications to accommodate the extra raised space.
Good idea?

What do you mean by using the foam under it?

The foam inserts from my old pads, I thing I got some red octane pads or at least some really good knock off, there was a foam insert that went into the bottom of the pads for extra cushioning.
I was thinking of takign the modded insturctions for a softpad and maybe use the foam insert from the last pad I had... or Is that a bad idea?

Something like this, well the padding insert...

Ohhhh, I see what you mean. It doesn't have the thickness like the pad you are showing. Its thin like the konami original one, but actually works.

Sorry if i'm talking too much on this subject.
The "Attaching The Bumps" section in the soft mod...

The bumps, in your experience, how much difference would it be if I just went ahead and used the padding (as mentioned in my last post) would that raise it too much you think or would it be a bad idea all together to have that much cushioning?

To be honest, the first time i did the mod, I didn't "raise" the arrows. I skipped that part and it was still fine with me. The 2nd time I did the mod, I added 2 pieces of cardboard where the arrows are at, I kinda regret adding the cardboard, It feels very bad with it. So all I can say is to experiment on your own and see what you find best.

Well I got them in the mail, I love them to death
I even did a post on my art blog about it
http://synduo.tumblr.com/post/60479553219/new-ddr-pads-i-love-dance-dance-revolution-but
I have older mixes but i was able to get good scores on Trip Machine Climax and so on, I had to test it before committing to the soft mod.

Awesome, I am glad you love them as much as I do. And it is nice that it has a usb port (for stepmania) and a Xbox (for if I play at my girlfriends place). It is seriously the best soft pad I ever got and it was 1/2 as much as what the stores will charge.
