Different people seem to call them differently. For me it's:
n00b / Easy
Light
Standard
Hard / Heavy
Expert

easy medium hard expert expert+This was how i explained it to my gf, she knows it this way because of drums on guitar hero WoR.

SuperNOVA was where I started, so I'm used to it this way.
