I'm the same way with Paranoia Survivor Max expert and Legend of Max expert. But I had the same attitude with Max 300, Unreal, and Arrabiatta... I have to second everyone's opinions about practice, or moving the arrows a la mirror.

Yeah, I know it's all about practice, it just gets a bit frustrating sometimes, and I change targets to try to pass something else! Thanks.
Oh yeah I haven't tried the MAX and Paranoia songs now that I think about it. Hmm!

I personally warm up with something 2 levels higher than what I can do. Even if it's a waste of a credit, I still try to pass it... So usually my warm-ups are PSMO or Relinquish expert. Just to try to get me going and test my endurance.

Oh I just played Cartoon Heroes today. It's really hard becase the foot patterns seem awkward. I don't think I'll be passing it anytime soon, or Xepher
.-_-
What speed mod are you using for Xepher & Cartoon Heroes?

Keep in mind that Cartoon Heroes is one of the most complex 9s out there, so having trouble with it is not uncommon. Work on footspeed and technique for this one.

FIRE FIRE is mostly streams, but with some parts that follow the songs' complex rhythm.
You should practice these songs to get used to streams and foot speed:
TRIP MACHINE CLIMAX
Übertreffen
A
Healing Vision
(Angelic Mix if you want a higher challenge)
rainbow flyer
V ~for EXTREME~
PARANOiA MAX (Dirty Mix)
Across the Nightmare
OR
(< Tiring but recommended)
If you can do all of these songs, then I'm sure you can handle FIRE FIRE.

And so far, did you tried again Cartoon Heroes ? That's really a solid 9 old scale, no worry if you have troubles on it (especialy on soft pads)
No, a solid 9 would be something like xenon, or AFRONOVA. CARTOON HEROES is a fucking hard 9. It's easily a new-scale 14, and given the stepjump streams, I'd say it's actually HARDER than Xepher

Naw, Xepher's a pretty solid 10. Cartoon Heroes and Konoko no Nanatsu are just the two hardest 9s, but those two are definitely the best ones to practice for FIRE FIRE... Though I think it would be the new hardest 9 if we still used the old scale.

The hardest 9 on the old scale is definitely either Paranoia Hades
or TMEvo
, both X-scale 16s.

The hardest 9 on the old scale...TMEvo
It's not REALLY a 9. It's only really listed as a 9 because it's harder than anything else in 2ndMix and easier than ParaRevo. It definitely isn't a 9 on the scale.Post #33 · Posted at 2012-11-13 12:50:10am 13 years ago
