DDR CD Jackets for KONAMI ORIGINALS & non-bg licenses!

Well, unless I'm overlooking some mixes, these older KOs and licenses are done in the jackets department. I noticed a trend last night while looking through the X2 rips.

ALL of the KOs that debuted in SuperNOVA up to X3, their jackets have the artist name listed. Older KOs from DDR -> EXTREME do NOT have the artist listed, nor do the licenses that repeated (DAM DARIRAM, CAPTAIN JACK, etc.)

This being the case, the licenses and KOs from the home versions of Hottest Party 2, Hottest Party 3, SuperNOVA, SuperNOVA2, X, and X2 should have their artist names added to the backgrounds to be used as jackets. The good thing about this, is that the backgrounds are already available here on the site instead of having to create completely original ones.

I'll pass this info on to silverdragon, and others to get crackin' on these when they can, and provided they all look great we can use them. I've essentially found all of the original artist jackets for these songs, so this is almost done anyway. Will update with more later. Good job folks!

Saotome2U: That's because EXTREME and before use cropped BGs, but since SuperNOVA and beyond don't use BGs, they expanded the banner artwork instead. FTR, the reason my Ultramix 2/3/4 jackets have them too is because they ARE featured on the official BG images.

Yeah, I know, but everything looks good so far. I sent a PM to silverdragon and informed him on the remaining jackets needed, and if he told some others then we'll have them in the future. The only thing I realize that needs to be done now, are the UNIVERSE3 backgrounds need to be cropped and remove the black borders to be used as jackets. Otherwise, when silverdragon and others get time to add the artists to the remaining 7 PS2, Wii, and XBOX360 mixes, this project will be done.

Weren't those just straight rips of the game anyways? And arguably speaking, some text decor on Uni 1-2. Plus, I'll readily admit I didn't get all of everything - I'm on a kinda old computer, so I have to pick-and-choose my simfiles to avoid 2 hour loading times.

Yeah, the images from UNIVERSE 1 & 2 were straight rips, however the banners were just generic fonts on cropped backgrounds. The backgrounds were just blank, which is fine. Just like all of the older mixes that we're using just cropped backgrounds, that's what will be used for those, except we need to have the artist name, and song added in some way.

As for the PS2 and Wii releases, those (I believe) were user made...not sure. Regardless, for consistency, the artist names/fonts just need to be added so we can crop those and use as jackets.

I remember on DDR MAX 2 USA , Dream A Dream and In The Navy 99 has different BG wallpaper, based on its Video BG.

So does Only You on DDR Extreme USA.

Maybe alternative version for Dream A Dream , Only You, Conga Feeling, The Whistle Song, Highs off you.

Thanks Silverhawke. I'm gonna compile a list as soon as I can of the remaining KOs and such that need to be done. Been busy with work, plus most of the easy stuff is done. I know we need to get the UK versions done as well if you can get to those.
