Left on bad terms? Hmm...I don't know. From what I've read regarding his departure, nothing stated him leaving that way.
Also, we at least still have 5.1.1. and R3 to carry on the legacy of the first beatmaniaIIDX.

I've never read about Reo leaving Konami on bad terms. Also, there are several of his post-1999 songs in pop'n music.
A good chunk of his songs probably were removed because of the lyrics/vocals, like several songs that were removed around that time.

Nagureo is my favorite Bemani composer (mainly because of Patsenner).
I'm pretty sure he left so he could work on some other music game.
If this is true (about Naoki leaving), I'm going to miss his new music for DDR, but very happy for him, hoping he'd enjoy his new opportunities.

Lets not forget taq left Konami in 2004 and we still have his songs in IIDX and DDR, so someone leaving doesn't really matter much in terms of removing songs. Speaking of taq, anyone know what's he's been up to lately? He apparently left to pursue a more serious music career but I can't seem to find much on what he has been doing.

Since he left BEMANI, TaQ has composed music for some games, the most recent being PS3's Tokyo Jungle.

I discovered BEMANI because of DDR. If NAOKI in fact leaves KONAMI I will definitely miss him so much.
