Unlockable Challenge steps sounds pretty sweet to me.
AM-3P as a 10 though...ummm.WTF.

I honestly can't see how that would be a 10 without any sort of video lol.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is the really BS edit/challenge charts from early console mixes; DDRuk's "4th mix Challenge mode" pack, for instance, had Have You Never Been Mellow MMG mix with 4-measure blocks of 16th runs in place. I hope the steps at least fit the music, though having little "exercises" would be good for a laugh.

Oh wait, Chaos. They could just make it all yellow arrows =P
Seriously though, I'm looking forward to seeing what we get. It'd be cool if D2R had tricky freeze crossovers like in Queen of Light.

konami is right. atleast sakura has a damned gimmick to it, IMO its a pretty solid 10. dont argue cartoon heroes on me, i score better on that than i do on tsugaru. xepher is pretty damned easy. the first time i played it i thought "thats it?" and now i just kind of play it for fun.

HOWEVER, if they change the rating on doubles, heads will roll. that song has one of the most messed up crossover run ending i've ever seen.

I thought Sakura was pretty easy. I knew for a fact that wasn't a 10, and now they fixed it! There's a problem here when I can't pass Cartoon Heroes, but I can pass Sakura easily with an A.

I find it odd that noone has reported any new levels for e-Amuse today. I certainly hope it doesn't stop at 16...

there just isn't anything draining about xepher. cartoon heroes is more tiring than it IMO. xepher is hard because its late, and no other reason to me. maybe for people who cant do rhythms and fast crossovers its a 10, but i don't find it any harder than say, rhythm and police.

i don't think we can bring up the rating change on sakura, otherwise you're admitting that the oni steps are a 10. i think that was a mistake on konami's part. if sakura didn't have the tempo changes it does, i would agree about it being a 9 but with the slowdown in the middle, *the step*, the 16ths after that, and then the last slow down i think it gives sakura just what it needs to be a 10. i do consider it some what of a transition 10 though.

i haven't played on an arcade version in a while, but at home i have 3 on cartoon heroes, 5 on sakura and 9 on xepher. sakura would be 2 or 3 if it wasnt for the tempo changes, the ending of cartoon heroes always gives me a few greats, and (i dont want to sound conceded or anything) i could probably AAA xepher oni if it wasn't synced so late. i've done afronova, i can do xepher. keep in mind i'm talking home version timing here.

summary of long post- we all suck at different things, and its for said reasons i think CH is a hard 9, xepher oni is a moderate 9, and sakura heavy is a 10.

Sakura is a 9, but a hard 9. Konami probably made it a 10 beacuse of the end, but even that's not hard enough to merit a 10 (considering the rest of the song's a solid 9). There are few eighths on the fast part, the slowdowns are simple, and the song is easier than other 9s (Cartoon Heroes, So Deep, EOtC, No. 13).

That's based on an e-mail from a Betson employee after someone kept prodding them. There still is no release date, but since SN2 JP seems to be going along well with no noteable bugs, I don't see why it can't be released soon.

Well like Xopher said on DDRfreak, they're probably securing the licenses for America. I just hope they or Betson do a better job of advertising it, since for the longest time my arcade owner thought Supernova was another bootleg =P

It seems like I'll be out of college by the time I play a SN2 though... too bad, since there's an Extreme across the street from my dorm room. After this semester I'm going in the military to pay off my loans, and who knows where I'll get stationed?

[military rant] be carefull what branch you go into and what job you get, those effect what base you can go to.

as an a-10a crew chief in the airforce i can go to-

davis-monthan air force base- tucson, arizona
moody air force base- somewhere in georgia
nellis air force base- las vegas, nevada
osan air base- korea
spangdahlem air base- spangdahlem, germany
creech air force base- las vegas, nevada
beal air force base- somewhere in socal

spangdahlem is hell. germany is cool, but this base is the pits. those are the only bases i can go to because i can only work a-10a's, u-2's, predators, and global hawks. contrary to popular belief, its not a free ticket anywhere in the world they choose to send you. if you want to go to japan, you can try and crew f-15c models, as those fly out of kediena air base. you can also be an aerospace ground equipment(AGE) mechanic and go anywhere, as if jets fly at that base AGE is there.
