I liked EXTREME also for the Generation II licenses. Too bad "FRECKLES (KCP Re-Edit)" never made it to SuperNOVA AC, but many people would prefer this license on EXTREME more than SuperNOVA anyways. EXTREME had one-mix-only licenses that were never brought over to SuperNOVA, such as "WE WILL ROCK YOU", "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS (Factory Team Remix)", "BURNIN' THE FLOOR (MOMO MIX)", etc. Those were played so often since our current machines always get stuck at EXTREME. I remember doing "SO DEEP (PERFECT SPHERE REMIX)"
-S and I can hardly FC due to the awful ending. That license, like, became the base for "Blue Rain", "Twilight Zone", "Electro Tuned (The SubS Mix)" in terms of skippy step charts.
"IT'S RAINING MEN (Almighty Mix)" and "THERE YOU'LL BE", two of the "Forbidden Four" licenses, were revived for EXTREME AC, later making their final appearances on PS2 (U/C) EXTREME and Dancing Stage Fusion AC.

What an eyesore of text.

what the hell is "Forbidden Four"?
Anyway, Electro Tuned (the SubS mix) came before SO DEEP (PERFECT SPHERE REMIX), and SO DEEP itself debuted on DDRMAX, so it's not EXTREME-ish.
I can't see anything resembling SO DEEP in Blue Rain.
Other mixes also have one-mix-only (simply "exclusives") licenses.
I think EXTREME would be more notorious for exclusive crossovers.

The "Forbidden Four" are the DDRMAX2 licenses that never made it to MAX2 CS.I can't see anything resembling SO DEEP in Blue Rain.
About "Blue Rain", I was playing a Dance Anarchy step chart on StepMania (DA makes stepcharts of Bemani songs before they made an official DDR appearance, which changes the arrow directions or alter the audio) and those skippy steps are added.

True, but bm III THE FINAL is even better.
It's missing a lot of licenses that are in 7th, and missing all of the Long Versions :{

You probably should have said "the 4 licenses that weren't in the CS version", instead of making up a terrible nickname that could mean anything.

"Skippy Step Charts" have been around since Luv To Me and In The Navy in 3rd Mix o.O

Back again to talk about the cool facts in DDR EXTREME history.
This is the last arcade version to use the "Bemani System 573" hardware before the newer versions got changed to "Bemani Python 2". The other arcade Bemani game that lasted on the 573 was GuitarFreaks 11th/DrumMania 10th MIX, complete with the new logo (like in its one prequel).
Regarding "Bemani System 573", Dancing Stage featuring DREAMS COME TRUE all the way through EXTREME were "digital" games, making it work on "digital" cabinets. "Analog" games, such as DDR 1st through Dancing Stage featuring TRUE KiSS DESTiNATiON, will malfunction on "digital" cabinets, but work on "analog cabinets". In order for all DDR versions (1st-EXTREME) to work and be swappable, interior modding in the machine may be required.

I don't think he understands what a PCB is, or how arcade cabinets actually work.

First things first, DS Fusion actually ran on the Python 1.
Second, DS feat. DCT was the third or fourth 573 Digital game. The first was either DS feat. TKD or Solo Bass Mix.
Third, how is any of that post relevant at all?
Anyways, DDR Extreme, perhaps?

Well, we learnt that DDR Extreme is a "digital game", wheras DDR 2nd Mix is an "analogue game"
Like this :

We also learnt that if you try to insert a System 573 PCB board inside a Python board, it "will malfunction".

I think Gabe is trying to derail this thread into a "look how knowledgeable I am about DDR EXTREME even though it's not about EXTREME anymore" thread.

I WOULD lock this but I love how Gabe seems to be digging himself into larger and larger holes. Keep trying kid, you'll dig through to Australia one day.

I used to play DDR Extreme at my local arcade till they upgraded to DDR SuperNOVA. After an extremely long break, I started up again and never really realized how offsync everything is on SuperNOVA. I'd gladly take a working DDR Extreme over SuperNOVA anyday. I need my first AC AAA and it's just not possible for me on a machine that only has offsync shitcharts.

Noooooooo, not here!
Anyways, yes, DDR Extreme, lordy. For every non-Extreme DDR in Australia there's at least two Extremes out there, some still with edit charts even if the memory card slots were taken out ages ago.
Man, remember the days when everything anyone played could be summed up as "A, Daikenkai, Dead End, Holic, Love Shine, R&P, and if people were feeling adventurous, So Deep"? I call those days "last friday".

I find it sad, since I LOVE Scooch (More Than I Needed To Know). I wanted it to be in a home game... Sigh. :(
A Minute is also good. There You'll Be and It's Raining Men are also good, but... The two songs need some love!
