Considering really the POINT of licence choices is to have stuff that people know, hearing a licence on the radio (especially for the DDR games from about 2008 onward when they went more popular-oriented) and going "OMG IT'S ON DDR" is probably a bit silly.
Yeah a lot of people think that DDR was better before it included popular western licenses, but in fact, a ton of mixes had a handful of licenses that were originally popular in America.

I never said that it never included popular licences in older mixes, I just said that they went for more ones that Joe Public was likely to know in newer ones.
Also I swear we were talking about this a week ago on FB. But yeah, even so, I await the day I hear Magic Alec Presents Resonance on Radio 1. BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WAITING SINCE 2001.

Uh what I said wasn't even an argument. I was just pointing it out because a lot of people seem surprised to hear licenses on the radio, especially for songs from older mixes. I was adding to your point, calm down.

One time I listened to DDR songs all afternoon in real life.
Also, sometimes I hear "Only Girl In The World" and "Just The Way You Are" on the radio, which is weird because they are also in DDR II.

My Basic Technical Drawing teacher from last year uses (or at least used for the last 2-3 years I was there) AM-3P for an introduction slideshow shown at the beginning of the school year.

hmmm, no one mentioned Sweet World (itg) being in that TV AD with beyonce, i think it was for either hair, or one of her perfumes.

Cool. Aside from licenses, some DDR KO's might have appeared in movies.
Well the DDR songs I overheard outside DDR were "THAT'S THE WAY (I LIKE IT)", "TUBTHUMPING", "THE REFLEX", "JERK IT OUT", and some other licenses. To me, I think the most over-used song from DDR to other sources is "Battle Without Honor or Humanity".

Eh? Am I the only one who regularly listens to bemani music constantly? I seriously don't listen to anything else but that now.

I recall a long time ago (before I knew what DDR was) at a Burger King in NYC I overheard a slow song with "lousy vocals" (as my friend commented on it) playing on their radio. then after that a song that I thought was really cute and upbeat followed after that.
When I come back from my trip, my older sister bought DDR EXTREME for PS2 and when I ended up taking my first jab at it, I've come to realize those songs were "So In Love" and "Higher"

When I first heard think ya better D in MAX 2, I felt like I had heard it somewhere before; before I even started playing DDR.. can anyone attest to that?

The "rap" is part of a royalty free collection called Masterbits. So anyone who paid for it can use it.
That reminds me that I heard the rap from the beginning of LOVE THIS FEELIN' in a Budweiser commercial years and years ago. Most likely the same situation as think ya better D.
...and the rap from PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME is also heard in a song on Bust a Groove.

Also if you've ever heard the song Love Raspberry Juice by japanese girl group SweetS, the rap sample in the middle of it sounds very similar to the one in Love This Feelin'.

Like I once said in a tinychat session, Suddenly I See was once used in a mayonnaise commercial.
It was somewhat awkward watching it.
