But lets just say, for now, that I can't go any where near stepmania, I'd have to find my Version 5 download some where else. Any suggestions?

I drink it all the time. Because of the habits I had when I was a kid. My poor poor teeth are suffering for it. I'm going to be all gums no teeth by the time I'm 30 by the looks of it.

Are you KIDDING me? Not this again. I remember doing this last time with the very oldder versions (Fob) so now what? Oh well. Version 4 it is until I have some serious words to both my computer and version 5 for not playing nicely together ... *Grumble* *Grumble*.

Oh, hey, I actually had that issue too. It all installed on mine, though, just popped up that annoying message. Version 4's a pain though...=P Hoping V5 fixes that problem outright

try stepmania 3.9 that will install fine

Don't install Stepmania 5 directly to Program Files. Instead, install it to another folder that doesn't require admin rights to move things.

Also, 3.9 is ancient. I do recommend OpenITG as a solid back-up/2nd choice though.

3.9 might be old, but its great if you are looking for decent ddr themes.

Yeah I thought of reverting to that. I had the same thing happen to me with 3.9. Same error message.


Link me then buddies to le ancient version 3.9 step mania. The version 4 that I've just sunk my teeth into ... keeps having a nervous break down every now and again and I have to keep resetting. Version 5 keeps fatally erroring it's self to death ... and I just want to play step mania damn it,

Here's where you can download Stepmania 3.9 (Windows/Mac/Linux supported, except Mac OS Lion, which recognizes but doesn't run it for some reason. )
