What place is public that is open 24 hours that has DDR?
The place I am playing will remain open for the duration of the attempt (I assume).

Actually, I think Konami would support you guys. It's good PR to see several people trying to break a record on your game within a period of only a few months.

Now that I read through everything (since I had the time) I am going to call up Gameworks tomorrow and see if they would allow me to stay in their venue over night playing DDR. I'll also have to find some people to stay with me the entire time of me playing too. If I am unable to stay in that venue overnight playing I am going to have to try to find another place that will. I am going to sit down and plan some other stuff out later too. The one thing that is bugging me, is how I am going to prove and show I played the whole time. I figure maybe a really nice webcam that runs fast and a live stream on a video website will do the trick.

Have you tried contacting Konami? They might help you get the record proven.

No, I haven't yet. Its a very good idea though so I probably will actually do that as well.

I wish you guys all the best with this!
Are there limitations as to what difficulty you have to/should play on?

Yes there is. You start on the easiest difficulty and have to move to the next highest after every 5 hours of play. I guess once your on Expert you don't need to go to challenge (that would be stupid) and you continually keep playing on that level.

@Kon:
During your previous marathon on a home game, did you always stay on Expert/Challenge?

From what I remember by looking at the GWR rules on it were that also you were entitled to a break of 5 mins every hour, and you could bank these up to a maximum of 2hrs break at a time. Also I THINK there was a "3 game overs and out" rule, not sure.
Bear in mind, the last time I actually bothered to look was in 2005.

A difficulty every five hours? I'm going to assume they start out on
Mode right? If not. they would basically make that a piece of cake to pull off even for me. I know I can play on for five hours on at least
as long as I'm not playing post-SuperNOVA boss songs. (Looking at you FaXX and Pluto ~Relinquish~). Did they make any rules regarding Double or Single Play?

They are not specific about the difficulties, but I would probably start on light since it feels like the same thing as beginner (sort of how challenge feels to heavy/expert). If they would allow me to, I would play Expert the entire duration whch I will need to contact GWR about.
@Zowayix - Yes, I only played on Heavy and Challenge the entire time. I was tired, but I think it was mostly because I didn't eat anything until afterwards and was only drinking water. I think it helps to eat in the middle of playing to give you more energy.
