After all this time, my favorite is still Trip Machine. I also think the chart to VANESSA is brilliant. I get a lot of stupid looks when i say that. Apparently the chart "massacres" the song, but i LOVE the chart. I don't know what the problem is with it.

The people who say the chart massacred it are either idiots or ITG fags.

Yeah, he thinks ITG is the greatest thing ever. He's always saying how great ITG made their charts. I think they make little to no sense whatsoever. Oh, and we always get into a fight over Sunshine. He claims that it fits better, but i ALWAYS say "It's FOLLOW THE SUN (90 In The Shade Mix) from DDR 3rd. (Or is it 4th.? i always get confused) and that's how it will stay" Like Utopia from ITG. The chorus makes NO SENSE, it's a bunch of randomly placed right steps.

Just a bit? It was like a work of Picasso in motion, only with more arrows.

I take it you don't like it?? When SuperNova came out, you could kinda tell that DDR was changing, evolving. I kinda want to put the blame on ITG, given that Konami took possession of their IP. Charts nowadays kinda look like easier ITG charts

Yeah I hated that Challenge chart lol. At it's core, DDR is still DDR, so even as it evolves it still separates itself from ITG as a more user-friendly simulator (I say user friendly since the degree of difficulty is much lower).

This is true. Take Tell from ITG. It's a little cheap with the random air and stuff. It's not even fun. A GOOD ITG chart is one that has less than like 400 steps. Or Pandemonium, it looks like someone's twisted fantasy. Infection is also stupid, as all the mines make it VERY hard to concentrate. I guess what i'm trying to say is that ITG charts weren't exactly thought out as far as user-friendly is concerned.

Actually, all the repeated right steps match the (barely audible) melody, while the repeated left steps match the bass beat. The exact same pattern occurs twice later in the song as well, but with the left and right steps combined together so it's harder to notice.

I always thought they went with the phasing synths in the background. When the volume peaks, there's a step. It's retarded charting, but it definitely goes to something.

And I would take any ITG challenge chart over a DDR boss song any day. The Heavy charts on DDR are much better than the Hard charts on ITG, but the Challenge charts on ITG are much better than many of the 15+ songs on DDR. Try comparing Tell to NGO and FELM and tell me which chart is better

I like FELM better, actually. NGO is fine too (I didn't like the Challenge chart much as the Expert chart but it was still OK, I guess)

I tend to play lots of Double charts anyways since they are far more interesting, especially ones that are much more difficult or radically different compared to single). e.g.

Put Your Faith in Me Saturday Night Mix
Chikara
La Senorita
etc.

FELM (In my opinion) Is easier than Tell. While both have massive amounts of air, FELM's air makes more sense. Tell, while accurate, is just a little bit cheap.
