From what I read, the DDR Edits had a few disasters of their own. That was probably related to how little effort it required to make a simfile for that theme though.

I guess I'll get sign up now, even though most of the songs I make similes for don't fit too many of the themes, as most of them are from BMS artists with the occasional video game song/remix. I do have a number of in-progress files though, so I should be able to submit something, even if it has to be on a Free Week.

I'm totally in for this. I assume you can simply enter whichever weeks you want and skip ones you don't, as was the case with SC10?

Also, are the ONLY ONE SUMMER songs the competitors in the final round? Not sure I'm reading that line right.

K-Pop week - choose any korean pop song

Hardstyle week - the title says it all

Kors K week - "

Might be cool to classify it by artist or genre

No doubt about it I'll sign in!

Those themes narrow the song selection and will minimize the amount of participants. The theme "non-english songs" was decided to cover all of the above.

When someone wins a theme for the week, he can enter a song for the final week of the contest.

I may or may not do doubles charts, I love playing them, but I have no way to on SM since I only have 1 compatible pad, so that kind of dampens my motivation to make them. Also, if I enter Doubles Week I won't be able to play any doubles charts, only look at them, kind of hard to review a chart that way, eh?

What other rating system is there? Just make the rating system the ITG scale since it encompasses DDR's 1-10 with three more ratings.

While I agree the themes should have large appeal, I would really like to not see the same themes repeated over and over, such as Bemani Crossovers, Other Music Games, etc. While not every theme will draw a ton of people, I also believe a larger portion of people falling away last year was due in part to the contest losing it's freshness, as the contest never really picked up the large amount of participation as the first week and I almost want to bet it will be the same way this time, not at fault of the theme choices nor Pandy or Tyma, but just because people get excited about an event so easily and quickly lose interest over time just as fast, especially if their files didn't receive as many votes as they felt it should/

Maybe instead of a topic as broad as "Bemani crossovers" we could do "IIDX crossovers" "GFDM crossovers" "Pop'n crossovers" "jubeat/REFLEC BEAT crossovers" and the like.

Or maybe "iidx crossover week that doesn't include well known artists" to have people do songs that aren't done by Naoki, Taka, Tomosuke, etc.

Does Super Star Mitsuru count as well known?
