DDR X has been ripped for a while now. It was never fully cracked even though there are a few sources of the HDD Data coming from various sites that crack bemani games. There is a reason why it was left alone and I'll just leave it at that.

There exist rips of most DDR AC releases, but for a variety of reasons all of them except 1stMIX and 2ndMIX (and possibly the CLUB versoins) are unplayable on PC and useless to most people.

All the digital mixes are playable but there is no sound. Analog has problem running from what I've been told. The PS2 hardware games (SN, SN2, Fusion) have been ripped, but are unplayable without the proper hardware. Then the PC games of DDR have been ripped as well. None have been cracked.

Do you think they are real?
Yes, they are very real.
A DDR X hard drive rip has been circulating on the Net for about 20 months, is 6GB in size... and doesn't work (I've not tried it, but allegedly it has not worked around the input, since DDR uses an I/O board for the pads).
The (Western) group of people who crack Bemani arcade games have repeatedly said that they will not do DDR X in the near future because machines like this exist in a widespread form the US/Europe (unlike other Bemani), and they don't like seeing their work appear in actual arcades.
(GFDM V4-7 on the other hand...)

It's not a variety of reasons; it's just one. The Digital I/O board has not been emulated, and this handles all audio on System 573 hardware. Moreover, it is unlikely to be emulated (gawddamn patents on audio codecs).
The analogue games are laggy in MAME anyway (and I'm talking seriously laggy - almost an entire measure off).
Fusion, SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA 2 run on modified Playstation 2 hardware (with I/O boards and stuff added on top), don't expect to see this running on a PC in the near future (partly because the Hard Drives are encrypted using MagicGate and are unusable on any other PS2 aside from the one it was installed in - in fact the rips are useless even on the real hardware unless you are restoring it to the very same hard drive on the very same PS2 that it was ripped from).
