Well, it won't exactly be as easy as that. If that was the case, we'd have a ton of random songs.
I mean, I guess that's what most DDR games are like, BUT we still should decide on specific types of music, and then go from there.

I suggest kicking it old school and pick three good Dancemania albums and pull the licenses from them.

I can cut / remix songs and make pre-max style DDR charts. I'm very used to chopping up songs and re-cutting them, so that they follow the "chorus-verse-chorus" formula of official DDR songs.

I think I'd work best if I could team-up with someone experienced, and co-author each file, instead of making them entirely myself.

Pair off in apprenticeship fashion. An experienced simfiler with someone who is new but has ideas.

I think a good balance would be :

6 Mainstream licenses
(Think of DDR's USA-exclusive licenses. Big-money songs that everyone has heard of)

9 DDR-style licenses
(DDR had a deal with Dancemania , ITG had a deal with Almighty. Out of this, we always got songs or cover versions that nobody had heard before, but were perfect for DDR. They gave each series a unique musical "feel". Perhaps we could use Dancemania songs from album that came out after SuperNOVA, or have a pretend deal with AATW or Saifam, to get a similar kind of music?)

10 Bemani crossovers
(IIDX / Pop'n / Gitadoro / Jubeat?)

5 Original songs
(Songs that are either made by ZIV members, or remixed for the game. I think both the Extra Stages and OMES should be original songs.)

Thanks! I like the way that there are two choruses, but I'm not sure if I want to use it like that or do it the way they did it on DDR 2010 with Bad romance. They just started from the beginning and merged the first and last chorus together. Like this. The only reason being that the begging is a little strange just starting off like that. Will it be a problem if it is longer than 2 minutes? I can just adjust the offset not to start until the actual music starts going.
