I know this sounds stupid but, is there any way of combining the PS2 DDR's on one DVD?

I think SuperNOVA2 or 1 has just about every song.
absolutely not. if youre getting one mix with a huge song list worth playing, extreme is the clear choice

Definetly ^^ Extreme(J) for the PS2 has every song from the AC version except Senorita(Speedy mix) due to liscensing issues. Total song count is 111(Counting MAX.(Period), the only DDR song in history to never make it to an AC DDR)

I heard that you can mod arcade machines, to have more music though. I just heard that SuperNOVA was one of the largest DDR games, unless X2 has more music.

AFAIK, for official software, the only arcade machines that you can mod are ITG and ITG2.
But there are hardware hax to install ITG on DDR machines.

So there's no way? Aww that sucks.

It would be cool if Konami would give us a code or something that allows us to combine the songs of each DDR series on the PS2 onto one game; seeing they're not making PS2 DDR games anymore (Max songs go into MAX 2, Extreme songs go into EXTREME 2, etc..) lol oh well.

A code wouldn't work as it wouldn't penetrate the coding of the disc deep enough to extract the data. A more reasonable approach would be to release a software update that allows you to export the songs, kind of like Rock Band.

Except that it will never happen because the Playstation 3 no longer has the emulator chip to run PS2 games.

Ha thats funny (that would never happen nor is it even possible). Maybe an append disc that moved some songs onto another disc if anything.

You can boot multiple games from one disc though. It was done before for Taiko, but those games are usually stored on a CD because they are so small. It would just boot to a menu and you choose what game to play, but you cant move songs over onto other games. That is about as close as you can get if you dont want to make a custom ITG disc (its very hard, mine never made it out of Alpha because it was plagued with so many problems, and you really need to dedicate a lot of time to the project to get everything working).

I was talking MAX series song in particular, MAX. being the only DDR "MAX series" boss song to never make it. forgot to mention that. And hellrazor, i was talking about Konami legitimately crossing them over to a newer DDR version, not hacked into ITG XP

I see what you did there.
but yeah, wouldn't work a ps2, all the data being on separate discs is not possible to combine legitimately with a code, there would have to be something to store it all on, like a HDD like rock band used for track exporting

Doesn't Supernova Arcade have about 300 songs?

Extreme has 240. And quite a considerable number of those you won't get on SN1/2.

Sure. And SN2 have more, same for X and X2. But the songlist is a bit different.
Also, i think they were talking about CS version, and that's really an other story.
