b) DDR Machines don't always cost as much as you may think (I've seen them sell for as low as GBP£800 in the past, and the System 573 motherboard sells for £250 alone)
How much would that be in US bucks, roughly?
BTW there's a 4th mix Plus on e-bay going for $2k.

a)
c) Time and money isn't sufficient, you've gotta have skillz - this is so important I'll say it twice. Real arcade pads involve a fair amount of precision and metalwork & welding to put together. Sure, it's piss easy to put together a Cobalt Flux/homestyle pad, but it doesn't work quite so easily for an arcade pad.

Eh, I just designed all my metal work in a CAD program, and sent it off... they laser cut, and bent it all for me... and I gave em the dimensions for the bars, and they made those too for me. I assembled it all, but yeah, could I have done the welding? or the cutting / bending of the 14 guage stainless steel? heh no. But if you don't have the skillz, you find someone that can.
I dunno around here (Canada) I haven't seen ANY cheap machines... cheapest DDR I've seen is 5K... (unless you happen to fluke out and find someone that doesn't know what they're worth.)

$3,000.
>Machine outside
>Stage separated into two pieces with no indication that the joining brackets are even included
>Never referring to the PLUS in the title, just on the marquee
Not sure if want.
