"Still breathing"
Just play doubles for a while. You'll pick up crossovers in a heart beat.

"お前をオカズにした事がある"
what's really your problem? you get tired easily on songs or you can't just read the arrows properly?

"Bored!"
I forgot I had even made this thread. Dead

My original problem was stamina for 9's and being able to do crossovers correctly, but I'm all set now. Smile

i know this post is almost a year old but was curious on the same type of thing.
I play mainly on standard with the occasional heavy song or challenge song. My question is without someone "keeping you alive" how do you improve and make the switch.
What ive been doing is playing the first 2 songs on songs i know and that i can pass and then saving the final stage for a song im trying to beat on a higher difficulty but its hard to improve when you dont have help.. any suggestions? Thanks

Use Stepmania, learn more patterns. Oh and stay away from keyboard charts, they have patterns that don't apply to playing on pad.

Im having a bit of trouble on speedy songs. I can pass On the Bounce Heavy and Xmix2 Heavy but I want to get better at more speedy songs like Saber wing and Sunkiss drop. Plus im having a bit of trouble handling jumps and rotations. Is there any songs that can help me get up to the harder songs like Saturn or Poseidon?

DDR Games I own:
DDR X
DDR Supernova
DDR Extreme
DDR Mario Mix

Play easy speedy songs, then slowly move the difficulty up. Or, use speed mods on slow songs to make it seem fast, but set it on a harder difficulty.

Playing harder songs as your FIRST song used to be best since your life bar depleted slower during the first song (has this changed?).
To learn jumps, nothing beats "The Legend of Jumping", to learn crossovers and spins there are a bunch, I find "Spin Spin Sugar" has lots of different styles of spins in it, and "Last Unicorn" is full of crossovers (in the video she double-steps some parts, the whole song can be played without double-stepping, just posting these so you know what version of the songs I'm talking about if there because there may be others out there).

Poseidon is easy. During the 300bpm portions, follow the synthesizer. If you want to practice jumps on fast songs, DROP OUT (in EXTREME US) or AFRONOVA (in MAX 2 US) are good choices to begin with.

Crossovers.. I would say, No 13 Heavy and exotic ethnic Heavy. Helped me a lot back then!

Learn crossovers with... umm... Healing_D_Vision exotic ethnic is the epitome of crossovers. air Heavy is good, so is SUNKiSS DROP Heavy. Also, the beginning of AM-3P Heavy. Crossovers that looks like a spin can be found on BREAK DOWN! Heavy, also some is in Poseidon Heavy and L'amour et la Liberte (Darwin & DJ Silver remix) Heavy.

Many charts from the latest DDR games has good flow and no doublestep (IIRC)...

I say yes.

20,November is pretty good. Once you get the hang of it, try to tackle DXY! and DROP OUT, that's some that I know.

For jumps, Sexy Planet (From Nonstop Megamix) Heavy and Night In Motion Heavy are both good. For crossovers, try Ordinary World Heavy, Break Down Heavy, Afronova Heavy, Boom Boom Dollar (K.O.G. G3 mix) Heavy, Irresistiblement Heavy, Polovtsian Dances And Chorus Heavy, and No.13 Heavy.

Try your way through Poseidon Standard, Freeway Shuffle Standard, Saturn Heavy, and if you really dare, D2R ("FREEZE" Special) Challenge. Oh, MAXX UNLIMITED Standard has some spinning freezes to (in the middle). This is just all I remember. Freeway Shuffle Heavy also make you spin if you force to alternate step.

While you are at it, you should also get used to crossover gallops. Some songs to help would be TsugaruHeavy, SaturnHeavy, Innocence of SilenceHeavy, Silver PlatformHeavy, Matsuri Japan (J-Summer mix)Heavy, Tino's White HorseHeavy, and CowgirlHeavy if you are able to pass them.

Also, I'd recommend CurusHeavy and Under The SkyHeavy for more crossover practice to those not at that level yet.

By chaos rotations, what do you mean?

Do you mean like crossovers with 16th syncopation, like So Deep? Pretty much every 8-9 from the MAX-MAX2 era would help with that.
