What about the Cassette error I got when trying to boot the Extreme disc? Is there some sort of trick to getting it to start?
Don't bother, just get a decently hacked EXTREME disk image from The Usual Places(tm), and throw away that horrid modded boot EPROM. If you've already got a legit EM2 to work, you can get any of the mixes I listed to work.

That's so awesome. You can tell it's meant for the arcade since it isn't all colorful and artsy like regular CS cds are.
Capcom would like a word with you; the arcade disk for Street Fighter III was just as artsy as any of the CS ones.

I concur with Chi; modboards are horrible, do yourself a favour if you haven't already and bin it for a real 700A01 ROM. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle down the road (ie, other mixes)

I'm not a member at "The Usual Places™" and my dedicab won't boot any of the discs now. The DDR2 complains about the security cassette so I guess that's broken now. My original rom is marked "700B01".
Any other source for these games than bemaniso.ws? If someone could point me in the right direction? Guess I'm past Konamis support division...
So, got my hands on a few discs, but the only one that would boot was the 5th mix. My rom chip is the original one and I've read that most mixes (that have been "fixed" a bit to avoid that cumbersome security-cassette) should boot with the original 700 A01 rom. However my rom reads 700 B01. Couldn't find much info on it online, can anyone enlighten me on what the differences are or advice how I can boot the 7th mix with a 700 B01?
I also got a modboard, but nothing would boot with that installed..

Take a picture of the modboard, or do you know off the top of your head if it is universal or single? (im guessing its a single)

Hi !
I have a problem with my "Euromix 2". I would put a pc with the "J-PAC," and it does not work.
I put this message here because at the start of the topic, I found my answer:
If you mean legitimately, then most probably none (the bootleg Extreme will most likely have overwritten and corrupted the original security cassette needed to reinstall EuroMIX 2).
However, the good news is that EuroMIX 2 will run the following hacked mixes (Hacked as in "security cassette checks removed" not as in "LOL Megamix/Extreme+":
DanceDance Revolution 3rdMIX (ver. Japan)
DanceDance Revolution 3rdMIX (ver. Korea 2)
DanceDance Revolution 4thMIX
DanceDance Revolution 5thMIX
DDR MAX ~DanceDance Revolution 6thMIX~
DDR MAX 2 ~DanceDance Revolution 7thMIX~
DanceDance Revolution EXTREME
DanceDance Revolution SOLO 2000*
Dancing Stage EuroMIX Internet Ranking
Dancing Stage EuroMIX 2
I won't tell you where to get the disk images from, sorry. Suffice to say, they are on the Internet somewhere...
* To run Solo 2000 or a PC or a console on the cabinet, you will have to short out the stage I/O PCBs, otherwise you'll find Up and Right arrows will be stuck "on".
If you are a new player (as in, never played the earlier mixes), I'd suggest playing 3rd Korea 2 and Solo 2000 for the lols (and songs that never made it onto later mixes), but if you want sheer good mixes both in terms of good stuff and number of songs, I recommend 5th and 7th.
Now my problem: I do not understand what it takes "short out"? Where is the "I / O PCB? Can you explain?
(If people speak French, it's the best)
Thanks you

Il faut brancher un fil entre deux autre fils; je regrette, mais je ne peut pas expliquer en Français parce-que je ne sais pas les termes techniques (je suis pas forte en Français).
The I/O boards are inside the stage:

...but the easiest way is to bridge the I/O wires (the orange and white plugs that connect into the motherboard). If you have a Japanese or European cabinet it is like the picture shown in the previous post:

(donc, un fil entre des fils noir et blanc - c'est le fil blanc en dessous)
...but if you have an Asian/Korean cab, it looks more like this:

(un fil entres des fils rouge et noir - c'est le fil noir en dessous)
