DDR HP3 (Wii) (N.A.) Work Thread

These should have been release a LONG, LOOOONG time ago, back when the game was first released. How old is this game again? And the official simfiles still aren't released yet? Although back in september, Alan said:

People can still download simfiles from private packs. If you want to release it, then just post links to the zip files (example)
Or if you don't want to do that, then just upload on mediafire or similar.

Heck, if I wanted to, I could go through and grab every simfile from every private category on the site.
But I don't feel like it.

Yes, this one should be easy since there's a Training Mode.

So far I've coded steps for Mario Mix, Disney Grooves, Jungle Book, Dance Praise, because nobody else wanted to touch them due to a lack of Training Mode. This pack should be easy.

I will go ahead and complete the pack, so all these songs can be assigned to me, I'll just do rough synching for now to get the steps completed:

Detroit Rock City has a major synching error.

The entire song runs at a very consistent 182.66 BPM (game says constant 183)

Then there is a VERY ABRUPT shift that will totally throw everyone off, it's HUGE.

Later on there are some slow-downs but I can get them on-beat, I just want to know how I should deal with the HUGE "song-cut error" around measure 45.

I think there are 3 options:
1. Add in a pause to make up the difference, but it's like a 90 ms pause.
2. Slow the BPM abruptly instead of a pause, it's such a HUGE error that the BPM will drop very low, so it won't be any nicer than the STOP.
3. Re-cut the song and remove approximately 90ms of audio from this section. I can get the exact number if this is decided to be the best route.

I would ask to check how Konami dealt with this shift, but with their legacy of poor synching, I bet this entire song is off-sync in the official game, and therefore they didn't have to deal with this problem since their whole stepchart is probably just as bad.

From what I understand I'm waiting for Brazen to PM or e-mail me the .sm files, then I'll get the pack complete.

But it's taking a LONG time for him to send me the files, haven't heard a single thing from him since he stated he had all the steps done...

We're not going to provide the rendered backgrounds (stages/flight backgrounds) as that would take too much time.

I'd forgot that the new Brilliant 2U was in the game since it was originally from Full Full Party so now I have 1 simfile for HP3, as the saying goes 1 is better than nothing.
